The Substance

Demi Moore, Dennis Quaid and Margaret Qualley star in this psychosexual, body-horror film. The narrative follows a fading celebrity (Moore) who decides to use a black-market drug to temporarily create a younger, better version of herself. The result is a grisly reimagining of The Picture of Dorian Gray, through the Hollywood lens of misogyny, objectification and the fight to stay young and relevant.
