What To Watch This Week: 23.02.26

Whether you fancy a trip to the cinema or want a series to get stuck into, our pick of the best films and TV will see you through the week.

MONDAY

Paradise – Season 2, Disney+

The dystopian drama returns. In season two, Xavier ventures beyond the bunker in search of Teri, discovering how people have survived the three years since The Day reshaped civilisation. Back in Paradise, the illusion of safety begins to fracture as the community grapples with the consequences of season one and unsettling truths about the city’s origins begin to surface. As trust erodes and tensions rise, long-buried secrets threaten to destabilise what little order remains. Balancing survival thriller with intimate character drama, Paradise deepens its emotional stakes while expanding its mythology, asking what society owes its survivors – and what they owe each other – when the world has already ended once.

WEDNESDAY

Scrubs, ABC

Sacred Heart Hospital is reopening its doors – and yes, the bromance is still very much alive. Scrubs returns with a revival that reunites J.D. and Turk, now navigating a medical world that’s moved on considerably since their intern days. Medicine is faster, the pressures are higher and the interns are very different – but the heart of the show remains intact. Zach Braff, Donald Faison and Sarah Chalke slip back into their roles with ease, while Judy Reyes and John C. McGinley pop up as Carla and the eternally acerbic Dr Cox. Expect fast-fire jokes, surreal fantasy sequences and the same emotional gut-punches.

Bridgerton Part 2

THURSDAY

Bridgerton Part 2, Netflix

After part one’s charged staircase moment, Bridgerton is ready to test just how far love can stretch within the rigid rules of the ton. Benedict and Sophie are left reeling in the aftermath of his provocative offer – and part two slows things down to explore the emotional and social fallout. For Sophie, trust doesn’t come easily; the aristocracy has failed her before and promises mean very little without proof. For Benedict, the stakes are just as high. Choosing a life with Sophie would mean exile from society – and potentially from his own family. There’s guidance from familiar faces too, as Jonathan Bailey and Simone Ashley return as Anthony and Kate, bringing both perspective and pressure (plus a new heir in tow).

FRIDAY

The Testament Of Ann Lee, In Cinemas

Amanda Seyfried continues her quietly impressive run with this daring, genre-defying historical epic from Mona Fastvold (The World to Come). She stars as Ann Lee, the founder of the Shaker movement – a woman revered by her followers as the female embodiment of Christ. Set against the backdrop of pre-revolutionary America, the film traces Lee’s journey from persecution to the creation of a radical utopian community, told through stark visuals and expressive song-and-dance sequences that feel more ritualistic than theatrical. Supporting performances from Thomasin McKenzie, Lewis Pullman and Christopher Abbott add tension and emotional weight, particularly in the film’s exploration of power, patriarchy and faith.

Scream 7, In Cinemas

Just when you thought Ghostface might finally be retired, Scream 7 pulls the franchise’s most iconic character back into the chaos. Neve Campbell returns as Sidney Prescott, now living a quieter life – until a new killer emerges with a chilling focus on her daughter. Directed by Kevin Williamson, the film leans hard into legacy territory, bringing back familiar faces including Courteney Cox, David Arquette and Matthew Lillard, while introducing a fresh cast ready to be terrorised. As ever, the film balances slasher thrills with knowing commentary on horror reboots, sequels and the culture that keeps demanding more.

Vanished, Amazon Prime

Jet-setting romance takes a sharp turn in Vanished, a glossy thriller that leans hard into escapism. Sam Claflin (Me Before YouDaisy Jones & The Six) and Kaley Cuoco (The Flight AttendantThe Big Bang Theory) star as Tom and Alice, two attractive, successful strangers living out a fantasy relationship of stolen weekends and glamorous hotel rooms. He’s a globe-trotting charity worker, she’s an archaeologist – and it all feels suspiciously perfect. When a reunion in Paris prompts Alice to push for something more permanent, Tom disappears mid-train journey, leaving her scrambling for answers in an increasingly hostile maze of half-truths and dubious characters. Told through a mix of present-day investigation and revealing flashbacks, the series slowly chips away at Tom’s polished exterior.
