Finally! My time has come. While I wear colour all year round, spring/summer is by far my favourite time for newness. There’s something about the days getting lighter and longer that makes everything feel a little more optimistic and that same energy naturally spills over into how I want to dress. A wardrobe refresh doesn’t just feel justified at this time of year – it feels essential.

There’s also a sense of renewed creativity that comes with the shift in seasons. Thankfully, heavier layers are peeled away, silhouettes feel lighter and suddenly there’s more room to play with tone, texture and contrast. I find myself gravitating towards pieces that feel uplifting and expressive, whether that’s a perfectly cut dress in a standout shade or a flash of colour woven into everyday basics.

I was overjoyed by just how much colour dominated the SS26 runways, with designers fully embracing bold palettes and confident combinations. Among the spectrum of shades on show, some clear standouts emerged. These are the hues I know I’ll be reaching for on repeat, seamlessly working them into my existing wardrobe and letting them take centre stage throughout the season.

Balenciaga

Blush Pink

Blush pink continues to hold its own, offering a softer, more romantic take. Spotted across the SS26 runways at Chloé, Khaite and Erdem, it came through in fluid fabrics, delicate layers and feminine silhouettes that all felt effortlessly modern. Again, it’s so versatile: soft and understated, it will still bring a noticeable lift to an outfit.

Sky Blue

What I like about sky blue is how it softens everything. It brings a calm, effortless energy to sharper silhouettes and adds a sense of ease to more elevated pieces. It’s not a colour that shouts but it quietly pulls a look together in a way that feels fresh, modern and completely in tune with the season.

Lanvin

Lime Green

Lime green is back for SS26 and I’m really leaning into its fresh, high-energy feel. Spotted at Prada, Versace and 16Arlington, it showed up in everything from sharp tailoring to statement dresses. I love how it instantly brings a look to life.

Erdem

Butter Yellow

Butter yellow is still trending and I’m more than ready to lean into it again this year. Soft, creamy and surprisingly versatile, it strikes the perfect balance between a neutral and a statement colour. I love how it brings warmth to an outfit without feeling overpowering – it’s an easy entry point if you’re looking to experiment with colour in a more understated way.

Red

Red is undoubtedly the power colour of the season and one I can’t get enough of right now. Bold, confident and impossible to ignore, it dominated the SS26 runways in every shade imaginable, from fiery scarlet to deeper, richer tones. What I love most is its versatility; it works just as well as a statement head-to-toe look as it does dialled down with a single standout piece.
