The SL Directory: Clothing Donation Collections

Any clothes we clear out this spring shouldn’t be going to landfill – not when there are plenty of charities that can make better use of them. To make donations easy, we’ve rounded up some of the most convenient home collection services…

We Collect, We Donate

We Collect, We Donate offers a free next-day home collection service, between 8am and 8pm, seven days a week. It collects, sorts and distributes donations to partnered charities like Happy Baby and Hestia, supporting the homeless, vulnerable families, and survivors of domestic abuse and trafficking.

Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity X Collection 4 Clothes

In 2022, Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH Charity) partnered with Collection 4 Clothes – a clothing recycling organisation that helps raise vital funds through public donations. Offering a free collection service, it encourages people to donate pre-loved clothing and accessories. Donated items are then sent to Eastern Europe and Africa for resale at affordable, local prices, while unsellable items are ethically recycled.

Little Lives UK

Founded in 2017, Little Lives UK is dedicated to helping disabled or disadvantaged children. It provides support for families by sponsoring health equipment, offering holistic services for children’s hospices and funding children’s sports activities. The charity accepts almost all household items – from books and CDs to women's accessories and old electronics. The charity receives 100% of the donations, which are then passed on, sold or recycled.
