Shrimps Founder Hannah Weiland Shares Her Favourite Pieces

A fan of prints, well-cut tailoring and beautiful interiors, London-based designer Hannah Weiland is known for her fun and feminine Shrimps designs. From standouts in her own collection to the pieces high on her new-season wish list – as well as tech and interiors goodies – here’s everything she’s loving right now…

All products on this page have been selected by our editorial team, however we may make commission on some products.

01 The Shoe

I am a heels person and love the shoe brand Nodaleto. I already have a few pairs, but I have my eye on lots more – especially these ones.

02 The Trousers

I live in our Shrimps cotton-canvas printed trousers – they fit like denim but are fluid and softer. I wear these ones with our new season Amos cardigan

03 The Bag

Because I walk to work, I often use my old Prada nylon backpack – or in the summer, my Marni wicker bag. In the evenings, I always use a Shrimps bag – I have a lot of beaded options to chose from!

04 The Jewellery

Jessica McCormack made my engagement ring, and the earrings I wore on my wedding day (sadly a loan) will forever be on my wish list.

05 The Party Piece

I’ve been wearing our new-season Debbie dress on repeat. I love the contrast in the fabric – the flocked flowers next to the glitter polka dots on a soft tulle base.

06 The Power Piece

Our Shrimps earrings are definitely a power player in my wardrobe right now. People can’t get enough of them, so we’re adding them in new colours.

07 The Beauty Essentials

At the moment, I’m very into brown in beauty – even nails. I love how rich and vintage it feels. I also love this Hermès lipstick, and the packaging is beautiful. Burnt terracotta eyeshadow is another recent obsession.

08 The Gadget

I can’t get enough of the Sarah Chapman face steamer. It feels like an at-home facial and it’s so good when you have a cold. I am not a very techy person, but I do also need a new pair of AirPods.

09 The Skincare Hero

I’ve used Alexandra Soveral products for years. The Angel Balm face cleanser is the most amazing product. I actually use it as a face mask – in a hot bath, it feels like you’re at a spa.

10 The Scent

Right now, I’m wearing Le Labo’s Fleur d’Oranger 27. Despite the fact I hate oranges, orange blossom is one of my favourite smells… It’s a mystery!

11 The Interiors Buy

The vintage Grasshopper light is high on my interiors wish list but I’m yet to find an affordable one. The hunt for the perfect floor lamp continues…

12 The Artwork

There are so many contemporary artists that I love right now. Sophie Wilson is a ceramist with a brand called 1690 Store – I’m a huge fan of her pieces. You can buy them directly through her website – I have my eye on her 1690 Famille Verte lamp. I also love prints by Hugo Guinness; the simplicity looks beautiful on a wall. Because they’re so simple, they work particularly well on wallpapered walls, which we have a lot of.

13 The Book

I recently read Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin and loved it so much that I ended up giving it to a few people for Christmas.

14 The Hostess Gift

We always bring a bottle of wine, but a scented candle is just that little bit more special. This one is a Glassette X Evermore London collaboration – I love the pine, eucalyptus and jasmine notes.

15 The Tablescape Addition

I love our Shrimps placemats. Homeware is quite a new product category for us, so I still get excited every time I use them.
