Everything Billie Is Loving Right Now

Be it an emerging fashion brand, standout beauty buy or wellness launch, Billie Bhatia is usually one of the first to know about it – hence why we asked her to share her latest finds…

1. The New Brand

Verandah is the brainchild of Anjali Patel Mehta, the ex-investment banker who is also a keen traveller and splits her time between Mumbai and New York. The brand has just landed in Harrods and the collections feel like true resortwear – full of colour print and, crucially, drama. The colour combination of this kaftan makes me want to book a holiday immediately.

2. The Spring Switch

It’s not too hot, not too cold all your need is a light jacket… in place of your top. This ASOS ARRANGE dusty pink number is a great spring addition – wear it with light-wash denim and silver accessories.

3. The Cool Tracksuit

I lived in a pair of adidas Firebird tracksuit trousers on a recent trip to New York – they were so easy to style up or down. Now, adidas has launched an updated version with a satin finish and lace trim. I’ll be wearing them with a crisp white t-shirt and flip flops on warmer days.

4. The Disco Dress

Rixo’s latest collaboration with Liberty is a riotous collection of colour and fun – think disco-inspired dresses complete with 70s mirrors and sequins. Co-founder Orlagh McCloskey dug into the brand’s extensive archive to create pure sartorial serotonin.

5. The Sporty Throw-On

Style maverick Amy Shaw’s fashion line, Fuchsia Shaw, has me in a mini chokehold. I swiped the viral Arden jacket in a punchy poppy red and have worn it almost daily ever since. Now there’s a new Arden on the horizon: cornflour blue and I can’t wait to wear it on every hot girl walk.

6. The Investment Piece

Consider this Dorsey piece the cool-girl alternative to a tennis necklace. Both modern and timeless, all it needs is a simple tee.

7. The Designer Bag

A daytime bag needs to hold a lot for me: laptop, make-up, notebook, multiple lip products, countless scrunchies and at least three pairs of sunglasses. Khaite’s lotus woven tote bag feels light and fresh for spring but still spacious enough to fit all my essentials.

8. The Micro Sunglasses

There is something fun and quite silly about micro sunglasses at this time of year. Le Specs has some knockout pairs and the metallic arms and light lens make these ones so wearable.

9. The Skin Essential

I’ve been leaning on Medik8’s Hydr8 B5 Intense for a hefty dose of hydration this spring. Fast absorbing, the serum is great for plumping skin and leaving behind some serious glow.

10. The Pigmented Blusher

My blush blindness knows no bounds, so it’s no wonder I love the new Prada cream-to-powder blushers. The pigments are pretty powerful, which is great for my South Asian skin, and they’re so easy to apply.

11. The Reimagined Fragrance

I have worn and loved Byredo’s Bal D’Afrique for years and the brand recently launched Bal D’Afrique Absolu – a richer version with a more gourmand tilt. The notes of bergamot, lemon and blackcurrant are more vibrant, and pair so well with the base of sweet musk and woody cedar.

12. The Lip Colour

I come back to this REFY lip liner time and again – it requires little precision and even less skill to apply but the results are always perfect. Plus, it’s just been reformulated with enhanced staying power. If you’re looking for the perfect soft brown ‘Umber’ is my top pick.

13. The Seasonal Candle

A change in seasons call for a new home fragrance and I’m reaching for Diptyque’s new Rhubarbe candle. The iconic Diptyque typography has had an overhaul and the wax has undergone a three-year development process, made completely in France across two factories and almost entirely by hand.

14. The Serving Platter

My love language is cooking and I’m already planning which extravagant salads I’ll serve up in this bowl. When I’m not hosting, I’m planning on filling it with citrus fruits and using it as a centrepiece on the table.

15. The Health Club

Members’ club Tramp is known for its outlandish parties but now it’s turning its attention to wellness. This month it’s opening a wellness sanctuary in Mayfair where – for a slightly eye-watering price – you can enjoy everything from reformer Pilates to sauna sessions and ice plunges.

16. The Padel Playground

New to King’s Cross, House of Racquet is London’s first female-founded Padel club. If you’re looking for a spot to play, meet new people and then park up with a margarita, this is for you.

17. The Must-Listen

I have had Kent-based artist, Humble the Great, playing on repeat lately. I discovered him on Dijon radio and the sound is soft indie R&B – ideal for a chilled hot girl walk. Start with Angie and go on a journey from there.

18. The Travel Plans

I’m swapping runways for road trips and heading up to Scotland to spend some time at Gleneagle’s Townhouse in Edinburgh before moving over to Gleneagles in Perthshire for the Glorious Garden Party – a kick-off to the tennis world’s summer grass season.
