CERAMICS: Anissa Kermiche Body Candlesticks

Can’t get enough of ceramicist Anissa Kermiche’s beautiful vases? Now she’s launched a collection of candlestick holders. Named ‘Tit For Tat’, the artist’s appreciation of the female form has made its way into these new pieces, which come in a selection of sizes and colours. Finished with a matte surface, the form-shaped pieces can hold a lit candle or single stem.

The Slow Label

BRAND: The Slow Label

We’re all ears when it comes to new sustainable fashion brands to know, and the aptly named Slow Label is the latest on our radar. Capsule essentials are crafted from natural, renewable and recycled fabrics, while ethical manufacturers are employed to create their stylish designs. Easy to wear pieces with a conscious? BOOK: Summer by Ali Smith

Ali Smith's Seasonal quartet concludes with Summer. In the present, Sacha knows the world's in trouble. Her brother Robert just is trouble. And the world's in meltdown. In the past, a different brother and sister know they're living on borrowed time. This is a story about people on the brink of change. They're family, but they think they're strangers. In this worthy conclusion, Smith explores what people who think they've got nothing in common actually do have in common.

House Of Hackney

RETREAT: The Castle of Trematon

House of Hackney is taking over Cornish dwelling Castle of Trematon between 6th-31st August. Three-night ‘Bed & Breakfast & Beauty’ stays will include breakfast made with local ingredients and eggs from the castle’s hens; full access to the estate, gardens and Indian pool; private transfers between the castle and Saltash railway station; and morning yoga classes and 90-minute restorative massages. Digital detoxes are encouraged, and guests will get a digital Leica camera to use during their stay.

BEAUTY: French Girl Organics

French Girl Organics makes luxurious, clean beauty products using sustainable practices and natural ingredients. Each formula is made from a blend of botanical extracts – such as aloe vera and herb and flower distillates – in place of water for powerful, effective results. Of the collection, we love the Bedtime Ritual set, which includes bestsellers Lumiere Rose Body Glow Oil and Nectar de Rose Cleansing Oil.

BAG: Lastelier

Chic accessories label Lastelier is the name to know for beautifully crafted sun hats and bags. Their newly launched ‘Cannes’ bag is the ultimate summer purchase – with its raffia finish, leather detailing and stylish top handle, expect to see these dotted across Europe’s chicest beaches this season.

SOAP: Gloved

Tom Daxon has been creating modern fragrances since 2013. Now he’s applied his principles – and the same quality essential oils – to Gloved, a new range of a hand wash and hand lotion. Virginian cedarwood oil forms the foundation of the scent, while also providing an array of anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial benefits. These effective, dermatologically tested formulations really are non-drying, and come in beautiful glass bottles with reusable pumps.

SHIRT: Desmond and Dempsey

Desmond and Dempsey have long been the name to know for luxe pyjamas, and now they’ve put their signature tongue-in-cheek spin on the classic boyfriend shirt. Available in a range of shades, tiny embroidered details give them a fun twist – go oversized for a chic bedtime look or pair with denim shorts for summer cool.
