ALBUM: Norman Fucking Rockwell by Lana Del Rey

Lana Del Rey has been drip-feeding information about her next album, Norman Fucking Rockwell, for months. And while it’s not yet confirmed, rumour has it that her sixth LP will be released on 29th March. Speaking to Beats 1 about the album last year, she said: “The title track is called Norman Fucking Rockwell and it’s kind of about this guy who is such a genius artist, he thinks he’s the shit and he knows it and he won’t shut up talking about it.” We can’t wait for her lyrical takedown.

SUPPORT: The Bumble Female Film Force

At this year’s Oscars only one quarter of winners were female. Bumble want to change that. You may know them as a dating and networking site but they are also fierce champions of women. For the second year running they are launching the Female Film Force – a pledge to get more women directing, writing and producing films, which in turn, will give fairer roles to women in front of the camera. The fund will offer five women the opportunity to create short films that could go on to change their careers, each with a £20,000 backing. Some incredible women are involved in judging the imitative from broadcaster, script editor and Executive Producer of Red Nose Day Emma Freud to film critic and host of the all-female podcast Girls On Film, Anna Smith. Applications are now open and by the looks of one of last year’s winners (see image)  Emma Moffat’s A Battle of Waterloo starring the amazing Jessie Buckley – this could be an exciting turning point for women in film.
