My most liked picture is...

...this structured shell bikini top from Adriana Degreas. I took it on holiday knowing it would shoot beautifully and it turned out to be one of my most popular pictures. I love that my audience appreciates the details as much as I do.

My favourite Instagram outfit is…

...the one I wore to the MaxMara show in Milan. It sums me up fairly well. Tailoring will forever be my go to, as will mules and big glasses, but the faux fur adds some glamour – and that MaxMara headscarf makes for an unexpected winter accessory.

The person who takes most of my Instagram pictures is…

...my boyfriend. I’m not sure he actually takes most of them – it’s really a mix between him, some photographers and myself – but he’s certainly taken many of the most successful images (including the most liked and most saved).

My most saved picture is…

...the same as my most liked. The one after that is a variation on the same look, so I’ll go with the third – this incredible Attico dress that I wore to an Emilia Wickstead show. It’s still one of mine and the photographer Moeez’s most re-grammed and shared pictures to this day.

The way I edit my photos is…

...on my phone, using Snapseed to adjust light and shadow, and VSCO to do the rest. Filterloop is my go-to if the image needs a little texture. I could do it all in one app, but I’m too set in my ways. If I’m on my laptop, it’s Photoshop – I did try to learn Lightroom but I failed.

The image I wasn’t sure whether to post or not was...

this one, which was a gamble because I normally don't like having so much of my face in an image. But that incredible Prada headband won the battle – I’d previously posted a pulled out shot to show off the Greek architecture, but the accessories needed time to shine.

The image that makes me happiest is…

...any of my summer or ski trips with the people I love. My boyfriend took this picture at one of our favourite places in southern Italy.

I wish I had never posted…

...this image, which I admit was rushed. I’m usually so meticulous with every element – I come from a monthly magazine background where a 1% colour adjustment is a big deal.

My standard pose is...

...anything dramatic, whether that’s a hand shielding the sun or, in this case, holding an orange while I do my evening reading in the south of Italy.

@moeez

My most used hashtag is…

...I don’t use hashtags! I’m no good at promoting my own platform.

Stories are for….

...showing a little more of my life. My posts are very curated, and hopefully my stories are too, just with more insight into the rest of my life and work.

To get the right shot, it takes…

...the right framing. I’m obsessed with composition – stunning architecture is always a good starting point, or some beautiful Iines in the background to create a strong outline.

The piece that features most is …

...these Prada shoes, recently. They go with everything and you can’t go wrong with a single sole pump, especially in white.

One outfit I regret is…

...actually, there are so many it would be impossible to list them all. But most of them date from when I didn’t understand my own style as well. I don’t “regret” them, so much as wonder what on earth I was thinking.

The picture that was the hardest to get is…

...one which doesn’t look that complicated, but shooting on grey and rainy days is always a bit of a creative challenge.

My coolest setting has been…

...this shot outside Parliament in Athens. I love the juxtaposition of our frivolous fashion against the super serious guard.

My favourite holiday photo is..

...this picture of our route to the pool every morning on one of the most relaxing trips I’ve ever taken. The memory is calming and the colours make me happy.

@mrollieali

My favourite picture of myself is…

...any image with my bestie, because we’re stronger together.

What makes a good Instagram picture is…

...a beautiful frame and being as true to yourself as possible. My worst performing posts are the ones where my audience can tell it’s not 100% authentic. Anything involving frilly dresses, pizza or pasta or a beautiful couture-like piece – all my favourite things – do well..

My favourite person to follow on Instagram is…

...@thetmrw, right now. I’m in the middle of furnishing my apartment and it’s all that fills my head.

I try to upload pictures that…

...inspire me. It’s why I post so rarely – I want to post with purpose. If I were to post selfies and outfits all day, I wouldn’t be being myself.

The photo that summarises my Instagram most is..

...this – beautiful clothes, a little drama, the best setting and hopefully a little inspiration, too.

One word to describe my account…

...OTT.
