There’s nothing better than a fresh white knit. A Fair Isle is another must for me – it’s such a seasonal, festive staple. I’m loving the scarf trend this year too; it adds that sophisticated touch that makes a knit more appropriate for the office. Finally, you can’t beat a chunky cable knit or a bit of red for that classic winter feel.

I’m still loving mohair and favourite pieces for me include this V-neck style from H&M and this fluffy cardigan from COS. I always rely on GAP for good-quality knitwear and love the colours of this Fair Isle knit. I also think this scarf-detail jumper from H&M is a great statement piece – the price is really reasonable, too.

When it comes to knitwear, I’m always drawn to pieces with an interesting silhouette or colour. The cocoon sleeves and monochrome stripe detailing make this Topshop knit a real standout. I also love the versatility of a short-sleeve – it’s the perfect way to add variety to my wardrobe. For something a little more statement, the long-line cardigan with a belted waist offers the ideal balance of comfort and polish. The length works beautifully over a full skirt or tailored trousers, while the belt ensures your shape still feels defined and feminine.

When it comes to knitwear, I’m all about versatile pieces I can wear on repeat. A knitted turtleneck instantly makes denim feel more elevated, while a soft button-down cardigan is the perfect throw-on layer for the office. I always gravitate towards Fair Isle styles at this time of year – COS has a gorgeous wool-cashmere version – and a neutral cashmere knit, like this stone-coloured one from Hush, is a forever staple. I’m also loving fine merino layers for winter; they’re warm and ideal for adding structure under coats.

When it comes to knitwear, I always look for oversized, boxy shapes in colours that will slot into my existing wardrobe – those neutral, timeless tones that work just as well with tailoring as they do with denim. I’m also a big fan of a baggy Fair Isle knit at this time of year; I love balancing that slouchy silhouette with leather or loose-fit jeans. This season, I’m really leaning into scarf-details – they’re such an easy styling win and instantly elevate a simple look. One of my favourite pieces right now is this beige number from Zara; it’s the perfect shape and shade to wear with full skirts, denim and tailored trousers.

My current knitwear wish list is full of oversized mohair jumpers, cool diamond knits and scarf-detail jumpers. Like a good coat, a well-structured or fun coloured knit can make the whole look. My go-to outfit combo is a good pair of tailored trousers, some loafers and a tinted pair of sunnies. On the weekend, just add a cap and a big coat.
