Arielle Ratner

New York-based Arielle Ratner designs modern jewellery that feels elevated yet easy to wear, bringing a refined approach to everyday luxury.

The Aesthetic

“The jewellery is sculptural and form-flattering, featuring antique diamonds and 18k gold. I will forever be obsessed with the way jewellery lies on the body, making it the most flattering and wearable form of adornment. Details of craftsmanship, wearability and practicality are what truly separate us from other design houses.”

The Muse

“We love seeing Emma Stone wear our jewellery so beautifully – she’s such a talented actress with impeccable taste.”

The Moment

“There hasn’t been one single moment that changed everything overnight. For me, the real breakthrough has been building a team. Getting to hire and work alongside such thoughtful, intelligent women has been the most meaningful shift, changing how I work and what I’m building.”

The Signatures

“The one piece every woman should own is the Nebula pendant. It looks beautiful in every size, and its weight feels grounding while still maintaining a refined elegance. Outside of engagement rings, our various Flora studs and drops have become some of our bestsellers. Clients are drawn to their balance of everyday wearability and distinctive design.”

What’s New

“We just launched our Templa collection, defined by symmetry, stepped forms and architectural lines. We’ll continue to design within this collection for the foreseeable future, and we’re so excited about the response so far. We’re also opening a larger showroom.”

Nada Ghazal

Beirut-born, London-based designer Nada Ghazal creates striking, sculptural fine jewellery – think 18k gold silhouettes, diamonds and precious stones designed to feel both modern and deeply personal.

The Aesthetic

“I design bold yet feminine, contemporary yet timeless pieces. Our signature details remain scattered stones and brushed-gold finishes, which have become part of the brand's language. We’re also known for stacking and layering pieces in a very personal way. Recently, I’ve been introducing larger coloured stones, which add vibrancy.”

The Muse

“I’m always grateful when celebrities choose to wear my pieces, but what genuinely excites me most is when collectors come back over the years to add one, two, or even three more pieces to their original collection. There’s something very special about becoming part of someone’s personal story over time.”

The Moment

“When I launched in 2003, there was a real excitement around the brand because it felt new and different from what was available at the time. Another key moment was the Khaizaran collection in 2014, which became an incredible success. Winning the Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2017 also gave me the confidence to grow. Launching Intentionally in 2020 was another important chapter, and opening our London boutique at the end of 2025 has been deeply meaningful for the brand.”

The Signatures

“The Baby Malak rings and Urban cuffs continue to be bestsellers in London and Beirut. They’ve become signature pieces because they balance strength and femininity in a very effortless way. A Baby Malak pinkie ring is the piece I believe every woman should own. I created it in 2011, and it has remained one of those pieces women instantly connect with. It’s delicate but strong, and very easy to make your own.”

What’s New

“I’m launching a new collection called Whispers of Joy at Couture Las Vegas at the end of May, followed by its presentation at our London boutique in June. The collection comes from a very personal place. Through challenges and uncertainty, I felt a need to consciously invite joy back into my life – to capture those fleeting moments and transform them into something lasting through jewellery. I’m also looking forward to further establishing our Belgravia boutique as a true home for the brand, where it feels like more than just a retail space. And personally, I remain hopeful for peace in Lebanon and the return of the vibrant creative energy – and the wonderful showroom – we’ve always had there.”

Sophie Whitelaw

Known for her modern take on bespoke engagement rings, Hatton Garden-based Sophie Whitelaw offers beautifully crafted modern classics at a fair price point.

The Aesthetic

“I’d describe it as romantic charm, effortless chic, timeless elegance and a quietly iconic spirit. Right now, I’m obsessed with combining bezel and claw settings – I love playing with contrast in a subtle, considered way.”

The Muse

“My granny is the chicest woman I know. Seeing her wear my pieces has really meant a lot to me.”

The Moment

“I don’t think there’s been a single breakthrough moment. It’s been a gradual, positive build. That said, our NYC trunk show felt like a real shift. It legitimised the brand and it was also a full-circle moment for me, having studied to become a gemologist there in 2021.”

The Signatures

“The Tobermory ring is our bestseller. Every woman should own the Kildonan earrings. They capture everything I’m drawn to – a clean structure softened by delicate detail – and I love the hoop-and-drop style. They feel timeless and elevated enough to feel special, but still designed for everyday wear.”

What’s New

“This season we’ve focused on reinterpreting wedding, stacking and pinky rings. I’ve always felt eternity rings can be a bit predictable, so we created our own take – something with more character. There’s so much else on the horizon, I can barely keep up. It’s an incredibly exciting time for the brand, with a new studio and store opening at the end of the summer.”
