What Stylish Women Are Buying For Spring
Need some new-season inspiration? We asked some of Instagram’s most stylish women what they’re shopping for…
- After months of lusting after it, I recently purchased this bag and couldn’t be happier. The colour is so perfect because it goes with everything and adds a little something extra to your look. It’s also minimal and classic while still feeling modern. I’ve hardly taken it off!
- You can’t go wrong with a classic like this shirt. Style it with denim and a blazer for the weekend or wear to work with a wide-leg trouser. I also love a crisp button-down in the summer paired with cut-off denim shorts or thrown over a bikini. It’s a piece you will have forever.
- I love a collarless jacket (à la Chanel) and am always looking for one that feels ladylike but has a cool factor. This one’s got a classic shape, but the glossy embossed leather and gold hardware give it an edge. I would style it with jeans and a tee or a turtleneck – it’s perfect because you can add it to the simplest of looks and it does all the heavy lifting.
- The boxer short is back and better than ever, with everyone from The Frankie Shop to Avenue the Label getting in on the act. I love the ‘borrowed from the boys’ vibe you get from this matching set – it’s comfortable, easy and, most importantly, flattering. Wear it over a swimsuit on holiday or street style with a blazer.
- The most important accessory for me this spring is a colourful bag. Even if you stick to neutrals, a bright bag can make any outfit stand out. My favourite is the Teen Jodie in lemon splash – this new size is just perfect.
- I am obsessed by fun colours this season. Maybe it’s just the long winter and Covid restrictions coming to an end, but I’m ready to brighten up this spring – this Rat & Boa is the ideal way to do it.
- I absolutely adore Birkenstocks and to me the Boston clogs combine both comfort and class. They are so functional – I love wearing them with wide-leg tailored trousers, a white shirt and sunglasses for a simple yet effective look.
- A slip dress is a great spring piece because it’s so versatile. On colder days you can throw a jumper and a solid boxy leather jacket on top with some chunky boots. On warmer days, just add sandals and a cardi and you’re good to go.
- This Kassl coat is one of best cut trenches I’ve come across. It’s so slick and an investment piece that you’ll wear endlessly. I wear mine with literally everything – on days when I don’t want to put in too much effort, I let the trench do the talking and my look always feels elevated with it.
- I recently ordered this matching suit from Shona Joy for all the spring brunches and lunches ahead. It's a great way to subtly add more colour into your wardrobe if, like me, you only wear black and white.
- Cut-out details are a big trend for this season and this dress is to die for. It comes in a variety of colours – I’m looking forward to wearing it for dinners and nights out on my upcoming trip to Mallorca.
- I've been eyeing up Amazuin Swim's new collection and this khaki dress is a standout for me. It'd make a great day-to-night outfit – just add a white oversized blazer and matching heels to give it a fresh, sophisticated look.
- I’ve recently got into bucket hats – they’re surprisingly easy to style and this one is super fun. I’ll be wearing it for spring with jeans and a crop top, with either trainers or loafers.
- I am obsessed with Chanel’s dad sandals – they’re the first thing I reach for when the weather gets a little warmer. I would love a pair in every colour and these are next on my wish list. They work with everything – I usually wear mine with jeans or dresses.
- Reformation is my go-to for simple yet elegant dresses like this white design. I’ve also got my eye on a couple of their linen pieces, which I can’t wait to wear once we get some warmer weather.
- This summer I've decided to go for some white sunnies. After obsessing over the black version of this Prada style, I knew these were the ones for me. They make any outfit feel more summery, so I will be wearing them with just about everything.
- A designer belt is a really easy way to make a high-street look feel chicer and more elevated. I've got this Celine one on my wish list to style with tailoring.
- I've had my eye on this dress for a while now as the shape and cut are perfect. I'd wear it with chunky slides for brunch or work, then with my white Prada slingbacks for dinner out.
- This hoodie is the ultimate when it comes to comfort meets chic. The washed black goes with so much and looks great dressed up with a blazer or paired with other loungewear.
- This Khaite cardigan has been on my wish list for months, if not years. I've seen it styled over shirts, which are something I'm wearing more and more, but always struggle to find a jumper that works. I actually rented it a while ago and it got more compliments than any jumper I've ever worn – maybe it’s time to take the plunge.
- I was so excited to get these out when the sun was shining a couple of weeks ago. They're a great middle ground if you're not into the full-on chunky look as they're a slightly more elegant shape. I love how they look with trousers and long dresses.
- I love the cut of Rixo dresses as they really work for my shape. I can’t wait to wear this Zadie dress with trainers for a casual everyday look or a pair of white sandals for occasions.
- A statement bag is firmly on my wish list as we head into summer. This Staud design is a great way to add a pop of colour to your look or combine with another bright piece.
- I love the bold fuchsia hue and tailored style of these trousers. I’ll be pairing with a white shirt and mules for a casual, minimal look.
- Mini skirts are having a moment, but I’ve always loved them. Metallic is an easy way to add glam into your wardrobe (day or night) and silver is surprisingly versatile too.
- I have bought this jacket to try on. It’s eye-wateringly expensive, but I adore the shorter length and wider sleeves, so I’m hoping it’s just as amazing IRL as it looks on the website.
- I get so much wear out of mules. The height of these Prada mules is spot on – I’ll be trying them on first with a view to making them a part of my spring/summer wardrobe.
- Platform heels are my weakness though at 5’10 I should have no interest in wearing them! But I absolutely love how versatile they are. Not only are they the perfect party shoes, they’re comfortable too.
- This set is perfect for the upcoming season and has been on my mind ever since it was released a few months ago. It feels like a bit of an update on the regular pyjama style sets that are trending right now, and I would dress it up with heels and a clutch bag.
- I really love the structured shape of this blazer – a statement piece that’s a great way to add interest to simple items. Though it’s getting warmer, I’m sure the British weather will afford you plenty of opportunities to wear it! It’s also the kind of piece you’ll wear year after year.
- A investment piece that's found its way to the top of my wish list is this incredible Acne Studios jacket – it’s sure to amplify all of your spring looks. I’ve been wearing a lot of oversized pieces, so now I’m wanting to play around with shapes and balance out my silhouette a little more. I’ll be wearing the jacket with high-waisted jeans and my favourite trousers.
- I’m a big believer in the idea that accessories can elevating an outfit – this updated take on the Loewe basket bag has had me hooked since I first saw it in store. The double handles make it practical and versatile – I think it'll be a great purchase for seasons to come.
- This season I hope to continue refining my capsule wardrobe, so I’ll be upgrading my current beige trousers for these Frankie Shop pants. I think these will do a great job of enhancing my everyday looks.
