Fun Foodie Launches You Need To Try
THE EXCLUSIVE
Ottolenghi x Citizens Of Soil
Ottolenghi has partnered with Citizens of Soil to create an extra virgin olive oil from the Tuscan and Umbrian hills, the same hills where Yotam spent his childhood summers. Citizens of Soil sources its oil directly from independent family growers across the Mediterranean who champion regenerative farming and the olives are harvested and milled within hours to preserve freshness, flavour and nutritional quality. The EVOO is a finishing oil rather than an everyday cooking one, built for drizzling, not frying. Green, grassy and peppery, with notes of artichoke bitterness and almond running underneath is designed for layering over burrata, roasted vegetables, a really good piece of bread or a scoop of ice-cream. The Ottolenghi Extra Virgin Olive Oil launches on 10th August and will be available at Waitrose.

THE WAKE-UP CALL
WatchHouse Cold Shots
WatchHouse has unveiled Cold Shots, a new coffee concept designed specifically for drinking over ice. Rather than using traditional hot espresso, the brand has developed an espresso-strength cold extraction that produces a smoother, less bitter cup while retaining the coffee's full flavour. The result is a cleaner, more balanced iced coffee that avoids the dilution often associated with chilled espresso drinks. It’s available to drink at selected WatchHouse cafés as well as in a new take-home bottled format.

THE BOTTLED COCKTAIL
The Naked Margarita
If you're after a ready-made cocktail that looks as good as it tastes, try The Naked Margarita. Founded by husband-and-wife duo Lydia Ward and Chris Pratt, the drink comes in a sculptural glass bottle designed to take pride of place on your bar cart rather than being hidden away in the fridge. Inside is a 10.1% classic margarita made using the founders' own bespoke 100% agave tequila, developed over four years with a fourth-generation distillery in Jalisco. Once empty, the bottle can be repurposed into glassware through the brand's reuse scheme. Later this summer, the range will expand to include non-alcoholic, jalapeño and strawberry-and-black-pepper variations.

THE SUMMER DRINK
Showerings
Fine cider is enjoying a well-deserved revival and Showerings continues to lead the charge. Already poured in some of Britain's best restaurants, including Core by Clare Smyth and L'Enclume, Showerings has earned a reputation as a serious food-pairing cider. Whether served alongside a roast chicken or poured with dessert, it offers an elegant alternative to both wine and beer.
