Filippo Berio Pasta Sauces

The most-bought olive oil brand has launched a collection of authentically Italian pasta sauces. Using all-natural ingredients including the brand's extra virgin olive oil and naturally sweet Italian tomatoes, Filippo Berio has created four recipes – all of which are gluten free and suitable for both vegetarian and vegan diets. Basilico is a fragrant Italian basil sauce with naturally sweet Italian tomatoes; Arrabbiata has a touch of chilli spiciness with just the right amount of heat; Olive uses specially selected ripe olives for added depth; and Verdure Grigliate draws flavour from grilled vegetables such as aubergines, peppers and courgette.

Journey’s End Spekboom Syrah 2022

Journey’s End Vineyards, the award-winning Stellenbosch-based winery, has launched its Spekboom Syrah 2022. This vibrant, medium-bodied red is named for the vineyard’s ongoing green project – the planting of spekboom thickets on the farm – and is now on shelves at Sainsbury’s for £10. Made from 100% sustainably sourced syrah grapes, the flavour profile of the wine is typical of the coastal wine growing region of Stellenbosch, where cooling winds help the grapes retain their fresh, clean and elegant fruit flavours.

Fika Coffee

Sweden’s number one coffee brand, Löfbergs, is extending its range of organic and Brazilian coffees in the UK with the launch of a new flavour, Fika Dark Roast Ground Coffee. Now in Tesco, Fika is inspired by the Swedish tradition of taking a moment to disconnect from your work and reconnect with others. Each bag is filled with high-quality, flavour-packed coffee, meaning you can get 75 cups from its 450g pack – which is nearly 20 more than most bags of coffee on the market.

Holy Moly Hummus

We’re big fans of Holy Moly’s ready-to-eat guacamole packs. The brand has now expanded its range with the launch of two hummus flavours. Combining the convenience of shop-bought hummus with the deliciousness of homemade, its original and pesto hummus are the first in the UK to use cold pressure/HPP technology, so your unopened hummus will last longer in the fridge – without the help of preservatives. The brand claims they will last three times longer than current shop-bought alternatives, which in turn helps reduce food waste.

Bold Bean Co Queen Red & Black Beans

Bold Bean Co is the pulse brand you didn’t know you needed, and are some of the very best jarred beans we’ve cooked with. This season, the team has launched two new varieties into the range. After asking its community what beans it should develop in a poll on Instagram, black and red beans came up trumps. Grown in Canada, the queen black beans have a flavour that’s rich, earthy and slightly nutty – a quality which holds up against punchy Asian sauces and chillies. Try them in a Mexican-inspired shakshuka or braised in miso butter, loaded with kimchi and stir-fried veg.

Crosta & Mollica Al Forno Range

Crosta & Mollica – a brand perhaps best loved for its collection of authentic antipasti accompaniments – has released a range of al forno (baked) dishes, which all stay true to classic Italian recipes. From lasagne to linguine, each dish has been slowly simmered to develop the rich flavours of comforting Italian food, before being frozen. We’ve tried and loved its aubergine parmigiana and linguine alla pescatora – octopus, squid, prawn and mussels in a rich tomato passata, simmered with white wine and parsley, which can be stashed in the freezer for a quick and easy weeknight meal.
