My Little Black Book Of Wellness: Harriet Ishbel
For Massage
MASAJ is my go-to. The aesthetic is stunning – minimal yet inviting – and the treatments thoughtful and tailored to individual needs. I book the relaxing massage – it’s 90 minutes of pure bliss. The soothing vibe is worlds away from clinical spaces, and it feels like all my troubles melt away while I’m there – at least for a little while. By the time I leave, I’m refreshed, centred and ready to face the day.
For Facials
FACEGYM is always a winner for me. I’m a big fan of gua sha, and the FACEGYM technique gives noticeable results for facial structure, though it’s not exactly a relaxing experience. For something a bit more indulgent, I’d recommend Salon C Stellar by Andrea Pfeffer. Andrea is amazing – she combines spiritual practices like birth chart readings and astro coaching with skin treatments to create a unique facial. Her microneedling facial is my go-to for instant tightening results.
For Lymphatic Drainage
Lymphatic drainage has been a game-changer for me. As someone with PCOS and gut issues, full body lymphatic drainage with Dimple Amani has become an essential part of my routine. It’s amazing for tackling bloating. Dimple, who has a clinic in Pimlico and a residency in Harrods, is incredible. I always feel so much lighter and more energised afterwards. Plus, her at-home product range is perfect for maintaining the benefits between treatments.
For Acupuncture
I’m a huge advocate for acupuncture, and Pricc in Notting Hill is my favourite spot. The team there is so intuitive and genuinely gets to the root of the problem. After years of struggling with PCOS, regular treatments have helped alleviate some of my symptoms. The space itself has such a calming energy.
For A Reset
I’m a big fan of 180 Health Club – it’s a hub of wellness tech. The Shiftwave Chair is amazing for stress management. The world’s most advanced nervous system regulation device, this genius zero-gravity chair sends pressure waves through the body in scientifically derived patterns and frequences to reset and regenerate both mind and body. I always feel recharged after using it.
For Unwinding
Surrenne is the future of London spas. The interiors are elegant yet calming – and they curate collaborations that elevate the experience, with brands like LYMA, FACEGYM and the Tracy Anderson Method. With industry-first treatments and health testing, Surrenne is redefining what a wellness destination can be. I’m excited to see how it grows and continues to shape the wellness space.
For Spiritual Treatments
I’m a big believer in spiritual treatments, but these days I focus more on tapping into my intuition. Lacy Phillips’ To Be Magnetic app has been transformative for me. It combines guided meditations, hypnotherapy, and inner child and shadow work to help you manifest with intention. For sound healing, She’s Lost Control in Broadway Market is incredible, and Stephanie Waxberg at 1 Hotel Mayfair is another practitioner I trust completely. Both create truly immersive healing experiences.
For A Great Workout
My fitness routine revolves around HIIT, boxing, yoga and reformer Pilates. 1Rebel is a one-stop shop for these, while BXR offers beginner-friendly boxing classes that take the intimidation out of the sport. Karve is sleek and high energy – perfect for reformer Pilates. For yoga, Triyoga is unbeatable. It specialises in all types of yoga, including traditional practices like ashtanga. Flow LDN and Studio Anatomy are also fantastic for both yoga and reformer classes.
For Recovery
For a supercharged rest day, I head to Re Place and book a session on the body roller – a sure-fire way to release tension. Repose Space in Kensington is another gem – it offers cryotherapy, which is great for reducing inflammation and aiding recovery, while its Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is a smart tool to boost energy and mental clarity.
For An Escape
I’ve explored a lot of wellness retreats in Asia, but the one that stands out is Fivelements in Bali. The setting is breathtaking, with beautiful huts nestled in nature. Its detox-focused yoga retreats – featuring unique cleansing rituals and nourishing food – are unforgettable. Closer to home, Soho Farmhouse’s Cowshed Spa is my go-to for a country escape. When I’m back home in North Yorkshire, Rudding Park and Middleton Lodge are lovely options for spa days.
For Supplements
Planet Organic is my happy place. Its supplement selection is carefully curated, and I’m always discovering new brands. The stores are the perfect size – not overwhelming – making it easy to browse. For niche finds, I love Raye’s pop-ups around London. They’re fantastic for spotlighting smaller, up-and-coming brands we can consider for Dandy.
For Healthy Food
Klear Labs on Golborne Road is a favourite – nothing beats its freshly made juices and beautiful snacks. Acai Girls does the most delicious acai bowls – my ultimate feel-good meal – and Wave LDN in Stoke Newington is fantastic for creative, plant-based dishes. For a treat, I love Holy Carrot. When it comes to drinks, Rawlala on Hackney Road is a firm favourite, especially for juice cleanses. You’ll often find me at JENKI in Spitalfields Market too – matcha is my weakness.
