This Celebrity Favourite Cleanser Is Coming To The UK

Never heard of Collosol Eau de Lait? You’re not alone. But boasting a major celebrity fan base, this Parisian-loved skincare staple is now available here in the UK, and we’re here to tell you exactly why it’s so special…

The background:

One of France’s best kept beauty secrets, this dinky cleansing milk has been aroundsince the 50s, when it was created by a French pharmacist for actresses who wanted to thoroughly cleanse their skin post-performance.

How does it work?

It’s a clear, milky cleanser that is no-rinse, just like a micellar but is gentle and soothing enough to be used both on the face, and all over the body too, gently removing make-up while refreshing the skin and moisturising. It was also designed for babies to use too, so even the most sensitive of skin types can get involved.

What’s inside?

A mix of moisture-locking glycerin and nourishing hydrating oils – vegetable and castor. Both of which work to give skin a tight, but squeaky-clean finish, while injecting a juicy hit of hydration. It also offers up a citrusy lemon scent, which at first, made us think of detergent (you’ve been warned), but you soon get used to it and it becomes almost comforting.

Who are the celebrity fans?

Clémence Poésy, Vanessa Paradis and Thandie Newton to name a few. But no one is quite as much of a super-fan as legendary designer, Karl Lagerfeld: "My bathtub is very big, so I use a full bottle of Collosol every day," he says. "The maids pour it in crystal bottles so I don’t have the plastic out. But for one bath, it’s one full bottle. I have good skin, but you have to work to keep it."
