THE HOTEL OPENING:

COMO Le Beauvallon

One of the Riviera's biggest hotel launches has arrived just across the bay from Saint-Tropez. Set within a beautifully restored Belle Époque palace in Grimaud, COMO Le Beauvallon marks the luxury hospitality group's first property on the French Riviera, pairing sweeping Mediterranean views with the brand's signature focus on understated luxury and wellbeing. Home to 42 rooms and suites, the hotel balances Riviera glamour with a quieter pace of life. Guests can expect a new COMO Shambhala wellness offering, tennis courts, a private beach, elegant gardens and a programme of experiences designed to make the most of the coastline. Dining is overseen by multi-Michelin-starred chef Yannick Alléno, while a private boat whisks guests directly across the Gulf of Saint-Tropez.

THE ANNIVERSARY:

Whispering Angel Turns 20

Few names are as closely associated with summers in the south of France as Whispering Angel. First created at Château d'Esclans in Provence in 2006, the pale rosé has spent the past two decades becoming a fixture everywhere from beach clubs in Pampelonne to terraces overlooking the Mediterranean. This year, the iconic wine celebrates its 20th anniversary with the release of a special-edition bottle commemorating the milestone. Featuring a bespoke anniversary label and the 2025 vintage, the release pays tribute to the estate that helped redefine Provençal rosé on the global stage. Expect celebrations throughout the season but if you're heading inland from Saint-Tropez, there's no better place to toast the occasion than Château d'Esclans itself, where it all began.

THE BEACH CLUB TAKEOVER:

Jacquemus At Monte-Carlo Beach

Following the success of last summer's collaboration, Jacquemus has once again transformed Monte-Carlo Beach with a fresh seasonal takeover inspired by the glamour of 1950s seaside holidays. This year's concept swaps last season's sunshine yellow for a sophisticated palette of mint blue, coconut white and black, with the brand's signature diagonal stripes appearing across everything from parasols and loungers to beach towels and the iconic pontoon. The Pool Bar has also been refreshed, while a new photo booth inspired by Jacquemus' 'Plage' collection invites guests to capture the moment against a playful Mediterranean backdrop. Two on-site boutiques are stocked with exclusive co-branded towels, t-shirts and beach bags, making it one of the Riviera's chicest fashion collaborations of the summer.

THE RESTAURANT OPENING:

La Vigie Monte-Carlo

One of the season's most exciting dining openings comes courtesy of Simone Zanoni, the Michelin-starred chef behind Paris favourite Le George. Perched at the tip of the Monte-Carlo Beach peninsula, La Vigie is a relaxed yet elegant restaurant designed around generous Italian cooking, long lunches and uninterrupted sea views. The menu celebrates the simplicity of Mediterranean ingredients with handmade pasta, grilled fish, seasonal vegetables and dishes designed for sharing, while the setting – shaded by pine trees and overlooking the sparkling coastline – feels made for lingering afternoons that drift into sunset cocktails.

THE SHOPPING ARRIVAL:

Ralph Lauren Saint-Tropez

Saint-Tropez welcomed a major new fashion address this summer with the opening of Ralph Lauren's latest boutique on Place des Lices.
