Restaurant Kits is partnering up with Hoste founder Laura Jackson to launch the latter’s ‘Make A Meal Of It’ Hoste Boxes. Launching this Saturday, the ‘Friendsgiving’ boxes will be available for nationwide delivery and take their inspiration from her #makeamealofit movement on Instagram. Going forward, the plan is that Hoste will release four boxes a year via Restaurant Kits. Each box consists of an autumnal beef or a wild mushroom and onion bourguignon dinner for two, served with mashed potatoes, heritage carrots with hazelnut butter and finished with a sticky toffee pudding with salted caramel sauce and clotted cream. A bottle of craft cordial from Saft Drinks, with four exclusive cocktail recipes designed to pair with the meal, can also be found inside. Finally, the kit also includes two Wax Atelier x Hoste natural wax celebration candles, two linen napkins, two menu cards, a box of matches and a ‘Friendsgiving’ playlist.

The cocktails will include Sambalpur Sunset Rock, featuring Bombay Bramble, Aperol, lemon and a splash of ginger; Bombay Bramble & Soda Highball, made from Bombay Bramble topped with Mexican lime soda, and garnished with lime and raspberries; and an Indian Summer Collins, consisting of Bombay Bramble, lemon, lime, elderflower and orange flower water drops topped with soda.

Crazy golf venue Swingers has re-opened its doors with a new Covid-secure experience. To provide guests with the best and the safest experience possible, its two sites now have a raft of measures in place to ensure they meet all of the latest guidelines, including a new app that combines food and drink ordering capability with an online scorecard and a track-and-trace form. The team has also used the time spent in lockdown to implement some major course improvements across both of its venues, with all four courses revamped with a number of moving installations including clocktowers, waterwheels, carousels and Ferris wheels. Each moving part is an obstacle for crazy golfers to get past, testing their putting skills and timing to the millisecond. BOOK A TASTY BRUNCH HERE: Wild By Tart
This Saturday, Jemima Jones and Lucy Carr-Ellison are launching their new weekend brunch menu at Belgravia restaurant, Wild by Tart. The new menu will be a continuation of Wild by Tart’s farm-to-fork ethos, with a focus on seasonal British produce, frequently sourced from Jemima and Lucy’s respective family farms in Northumberland and Somerset. Guests will be invited to begin their weekend in the vibrant bar with a Bloody Mary, made with Black Cow vodka infused with rosemary and pink peppercorn, before dining in the light-filled restaurant. Start with kedgeree croquettes with curry leaf aioli; and flatbread with smoked ham hock, burnt leeks, gruyere, cracked egg and capers. Brunch ‘bowls’ will include yoghurt and fig leaf panna cotta with sticky roast figs and nut granola; while larger ‘plates’ will comprise of brown butter pancakes with bay ice-cream and marsala blackberry compote; and foraged mushroom and tarragon baked eggs with truffle.
