THE TRAVEL BOOK:

The Mark

The Mark – New York’s most boldly lavish hotel – has unveiled its collaboration with Assouline: a custom book celebrating the hotel’s legendary glamour and coinciding with the 20th anniversary of Jacques Grange’s transformative redesign. Written by New York Times bestselling author Derek Blasberg, the book offers an inside look at Grange’s visionary re-imagination, brought to life with bespoke pieces by creative luminaries including Karl Lagerfeld, Guy de Rougemont, Paul Mathieu, and Mattia Bonetti. It also spotlights the extraordinary guests and cultural figures who have shaped The Mark’s mythology, particularly its star-studded role as the unofficial home of the Met Gala. From Caviar Kaspia at The Mark and The Mark Restaurant by Jean-Georges to its storied penthouse, this new book captures the audacity, artistry and unmistakable Upper East Side allure that make The Mark an icon.

As well as bottled fragrance, the collection includes a range of refillable, customisable candles crafted from high-quality beeswax and a selection of soap. Shaped like gemstones and enriched with shea butter, these new body and hand soaps create a luxuriously creamy lather and a soft, lasting scent.

THE DESTINATION:

Cottage Orne

Cottage Orné is a new opening from India Serlin and her family, who have transformed a 17th-century Cornish hamlet into 14 characterful, design-led retreats ranging from a shepherd’s hut to a seven-bedroom manor house. What was once a cluster of working farm buildings is now a riot of colour, craft and personality: picture bold Studio Alexandra interiors, antiques sourced from markets and auctions, and centuries-old original details. Outside, a meadow wraps around a swimming pool, a yoga deck for slow mornings, shepherd’s hut saunas and a bright, creative studio where workshops with makers will take place throughout the year.

THE WELLNESS LAUNCH:

Ples’Jour

Ples’Jour is a new luxury sexual wellness brand focused on women’s health and intimate wellbeing. Ples’Jour exists to counter this with clinically rigorous, stigma-free intimate care. The debut product, Opal, is a silicone-based lubricant designed specifically with women’s bodies in mind. It is microbiome-certified, clinically tested, gynaecologist-recommended and pH-balanced, while remaining free from glycerin, parabens, artificial fragrance and unnecessary additives. Opal is shown to increase hydration by up to 38%, offering lasting comfort for women experiencing dryness due to stress, medication, postpartum changes or menopause – and it comes in a chic bottle.
