The Dress
We're going straight in with a show-stopper – this dramatic Aje gown. I wore a similar style to a wedding earlier this year and it received all the compliments. The full-bodied skirt mixed with slinky body creates a sexy-meets-Bridgerton vibe I love.
The Bangle
NET-A-PORTER has so much great costume jewellery right now – when it gets cold and I gravitate to quiet neutrals, I'll use pieces like this bangle to feel a little more polished.
The Boots
I initially had a pair of brown suede boots in this edit, but couldn't resist these burgundy bad boys instead. They may not be subtle or practical, but how amazing will they look with black tailored trousers and a cashmere knit, or a camel knitted two-piece?
The Earrings
Didn't I tell you the jewellery is so good right now? Oversized Alaïa earrings are the quickest way to elevate autumn classics.
The Trousers
Pastel tailoring feels so unexpected at this time of year. These pale pink trousers will look amazing with camel or grey and, naturally, my new burgundy boots.
The Bodysuit
It may be an indulgent price point, but this bodysuit feels like such a relevant, modern wardrobe addition – we all need a few of those for a new season. Wide shoulders and a high-waist give it really flattering proportions. I'll add a midi skirt, just like NET-A-PORTER, for a sophisticated spin.
The Bag
If I'm investing in a bag, it has to work year-round, and this beige suede option will look just as good with a white sundress as it will with a winter coat. I'm also a sucker for a bit of gold hardware.
The Ballet Flats
Practical they’re not, but autumn's hybrid weather makes furry shoes a viable choice. A sneaky way to effectively wear slippers to the office.
The Coat
I've always oscillated between thinking a duffel coat is chic and a little bit Paddington Bear, but this Victoria Beckham number has convinced me of the former. Imagine the oversized hood layered over a silk scarf bandana and statement sunnies for a bit of cold-weather glam.
The Cardigan
Cardigans are cooler than jumpers this year, and this chunky Frame option is the perfect layering piece.
The Top
It's still a way to go until party season, but my Millennial tendency to wear jeans and a nice top will be easily satisfied by this dramatic asymmetric piece when the time comes.
The Skirt
I think I've saved the best until last. I can't stop mentally styling this piece with towering heeled boots, sleek pointed slingbacks, chunky loafers and everything in between.
