Comfortable yet polished is the best way to be at the airport. This time around, I’ve gone for a matching pyjama style set because you don’t have to think about it at 3am. I’m also taking a big bag to fit all my other bags in and a lightweight cotton canvas jacket for the journey.
When it comes to travel skincare, I want things that keep my skin hydrated. I love the Decree masks, and a nourishing lip balm is essential. I’ll also always bring a hydrating mist on the plane.
I don’t like to overcomplicate my holiday wardrobe. Less is definitely more, so I always revert back to some core staples. Autumn/winter is my preferred season to dress for, so I try to repurpose some of these pieces in the summer so it doesn't feel too different from my normal style. To that end, you’ll see a lot of relaxed tailoring, boxer short co-ords, oversized shirts, tailored long shorts and loose-leg trousers all styled with more polished accessories.
My Toteme Kaftan is something I tend to wear on repeat. It’s looks so chic and put together around the pool and on the beach. I also really like the idea of styling it over simple jeans and a tank. Elsewhere, my Frankie Shop dress is such an easy win. I love a shirt dress, and this works really hard for me on holiday – whether I’m nipping out to get coffee in the morning or using it as a cover-up for lunch or sundowners at the bar. Finally, I wish I’d bought into the Hunza G hype sooner. This is such a flattering bikini and also doubles up as a bodysuit, so I can easily create an outfit beyond the beach too.
Capri pants are a trend that is definitely here to stay. I wear mine with a vest and open shirt or simple halter-neck top. I’ve also been leaning into the long shorts trend with chinos, linen and sharper tailoring. Expect to see it well into autumn/winter.
I can get on board with a bit more colour in the summer. Red really comes into its own against sun-kissed skin – there’s a beautiful long red slip dress that has caught my eye lately. Otherwise, you can always introduce more colour through an accessory like mesh ballerinas or a statement bikini.
On the beach, I’ll be in a bikini and scarf wrap, with a big bag to fit all my essentials. It’s simple but you can make it more of a style statement with big sunnies.
For evenings on holiday, I don't think you can go wrong with a vest and loose-leg trousers styled with statement earrings or a simple vest dress and sandal. With both of these looks I would add an open shirt if it's a little cooler, plus a leather bag which can work day or night.
Accessories are really key on holiday. A headscarf is a summer classic – I love how it adds a bit of playfulness to the look. I’ll also always make sure to have my Bottega glasses to hand – plus a classic raffia bag. I recently bought a structured straw bag for this trip, but I also love a more relaxed bag for the day.
Jewellery is another simple way to elevate an outfit. I love clip-on earrings because they’re so easy. I also plan to take my By Alona necklace with me, as I love the shape. I’ll usually bring my Edge of Ember earrings in both gold and silver. They’re so versatile.
ARKET has a great selection of holiday staples – including an extensive range of linen pieces that you can mix and match. Toteme is my go-to for elevated classics and the brand’s monogrammed, embroidered co-ord is now a go-to for me. I’m also really loving COS for relaxed tailoring, and this year it has a great selection of dresses.
