The Party Look

I saw a cool look in the window of COS the other day. It was a pair of lightweight suit trousers and a blazer with a detachable scarf detail in the same fabric. It’s so chic and cool, and I love that it’s a little more fun than your average suit. I can see myself wearing it with heels and a fun top for the party season or just with some flip flops and an oversized tee in the summer.

The Coat

I go for coats that are a little more dramatic on the shoulders. A favourite has been The Frankie Shop’s London style. I’ve been layering a merino knit from Bik Bok underneath, along with a pair of wide-leg Mister Wool suit trousers from Line of Oslo. To accessorise, I go for a skinny wool scarf and a belt – my go-to is my dad’s old Levi’s belt in black leather with a brushed silver buckle. For shoes and bags, it’s always my Tony Bianco Fantasy boots and my vintage Fendi bowling bag.

The Colour Trend

Anyone who knows me knows I’m all about black. The key to make it not feel boring or one dimensional is to mix up the fabrics and textures – or opt for a fun silhouette. That said, I have added a few chocolate brown pieces to my wardrobe this autumn. It’s my version of experimenting with colour.

The Prints

Animal print and faux pony-hair styles are on my radar this season. Leopard is a classic, but I’ve seen lot of cow and zebra prints around too. My accessories are often the icing on top, if you will – so print is usually something I wear through my shoes, a bag or belt. I have some cow-print pony-hair ballerinas from Tony Bianco on the way, and I just know they’ll be my new office shoes. I’ll be wearing them with a black oversized suit with some thin wool socks peeking out and some chunky silver hoops.

The Shoe

In the summer I’m a slip-on and mule girl, so I can struggle when it comes to winter shoes. I did see Scandi ‘it’ girl Pernille Teisbaek in some old square-toe Bottega boots and started my search for a good dupe. I just got my hands on the perfect ones from COS

The Outerwear

I’ve been on the lookout for a fab coat in a cow print and found a great style at Ivana Mentlova. I also have my eye on Charlotte Simone’s Leo coat. Seeing as both pieces are quite out there, I’d let them have their moment and do an all-black look with them.

The Everyday Bag

My vintage Dior croc patent leather bag with silver hardware and my old cow-print tote from Zara are both on heavy rotation right now. I’ve wanted a suede bag for quite some time though, and a proper tote for work. I just came across the Scandi brand Little Liffner on TikTok and have my eyes on the Mega Sprout Tote Bag in black – or the Manu Atelier Le Cambon 40 in suede black.

The Party Bag

I’m not a fan of typical party bags, mainly because they’re too small. My vintage Bally bag is perfect for events. It’s chic and spacious, but I do have my eye on a zebra envelope clutch from Zara. Fun and affordable.

The Brand

Almada Label is a brand I come back to time and again. The collections, concepts and campaigns are so well thought through. My boyfriend and I share a lot of the knitted pieces – the Boyfriend crewneck in grey is perfect.

The Campaign

I’m obsessed with Alaïa. As a social and marketing girl, Loewe has also hit the nail on the head with its TikTok and IG strategy. I loved the SS25 pre-collection campaign with Ayo Edebiri, Ambika Mod and Drew Starkey. I also need to mention the photos of Javier Bardem taken by Christian Coppola for Interview. They should’ve been a campaign for Bottega – I’d copy and paste every single look, especially the pink V-neck knit

The Affordable Brands

COS does great tailored pieces at great prices – as well as quality shoes and bags. You can find elevated basics and trend-led pieces all in one place. The quality of the wool-blend pieces at Bik Bok this autumn/winter is so good too.

The Jewellery

I’ve inherited a lot of my jewellery, which makes it feel that bit more special. My aunt has a tradition of giving me one piece from her jewellery collection for my birthday and it’s always my favourite gift. Other than that, I love Who Is She jewellery – a great small business that has so many good pieces.  Josephine Studio is another to check out, particularly its Thorn Ring Triple Mix.

The Watch

My boyfriend has always been really interested in watches. Since he bought his Rolex, I have put one on my wish list. My dream piece is a  Datejust with black dial and steel jubilee bracelet.

The Wildcard

I’m collecting funds from my family this Christmas for a slightly crazy gift – a white gold grill for my left canine tooth. It’s just something I’ve wanted for as long as I can remember. Other than that, I have my eye on a pair of Everest Shearling boots in black from Envelope1976. They’re like a fun version of UGGs.

The Beauty Essential

I’m one of those lucky girls whose close friend just so happens to be one of the best make-up artists in Norway – Tomas Erdis. Because of my acne-prone skin, I’ve always been careful about what I use, and Jane Iredale is one of the only make-up brands that doesn’t break me out. I love the lip liner in ‘Nude’, as well as the new blush in ‘Sunset’.

The Hair Tool

A boar bristle hairbrush is my most used tool. I’m a slicked-back hair girl and the slick back can never get slick enough without this brush. I just bought one from Officine Universelle Buly with my initials on it. My trusty flat iron from ghd is another longstanding favourite.

The Skincare Must-Have

Dermalogica and The Ordinary are my ride-or-die skincare brands. The Dermalogica Clearing Skin Wash and Active Moist Moisturizer – plus The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid and Niacinamide – are parts of my routine I would never switch out. Every now and then, I steal my man’s The Mantle CBD+ Matcha Mask, which leaves my skin feeling so fresh.

The Treatment

It’s been too long since I treated myself to a good massage. I like deep-tissue ones because I’m chronically stressed. Other than that, I use an infrared sauna two to three times a week at my gym and do ice baths in the Oslo fjord or at my in-laws. I also go to Stockholm a lot for work, which is where I discovered HEAT by Sophia Lie. I like doing the cryotherapy.

The Fragrance

Narciso Rodriguez For Her is something of a signature for me, but I’m keen to try something new. I tend to be drawn towards men’s fragrances – the more masculine scent matches my style.

The Homeware

We are currently in the process of buying a new apartment and I’m excited to start afresh. We’re both into Japanese style mixed with Scandinavian minimalism, but I really want to add hints of my Balkan and his South Korean culture. One item we’d love to buy is a piece of art from my cousin Magnus Sørensen, who does these detailed pencil drawings. I’m very inspired by Katarina Petrovic too – I just love her aesthetic.

The Tablescaping Accessory

We do a lot of events at Bik Bok and my co-workers Michelle and Julie are absolute geniuses at all things tablescaping. If you want to go the extra mile, embroidered napkins are fun – H&M Home has great affordable ones. Also, go big with the flowers. I feel like a good centrepiece is essential. Finally, I like to add disposable cameras to the table so people can capture memories from the evening.

The Getaway

While I rate Copenhagen and Barcelona, my number one destination is Sarajevo in the early autumn. It’s not too warm, I get to brush up on my language skills, see my family and eat my favourite food. Burek from Buregdžinica Sač is an absolute must when visiting.

The Wellness Escape

There are few places where I can truly relax, but my mum and stepdad’s cabin in Fyresdal in Norway is one. It’s serenity in every sense of the word. There’s little to no phone service there – I highly recommend going completely off-grid when you can.

The Music

I am all over the place in terms of taste – from Balkan music to Sabrina Carpenter and J. Cole. My current must-listens are Kendrick Lamar’s new album, everything Mk.gee, Hermanos Gutiérrez and Frank Ocean.

The Book

I read A Little Life this summer and was absolutely devastated afterwards – so I had a little reading break. I recently picked up Normal People by Sally Rooney and have also bought Intermezzo – so I’m excited for those two. I also got a book from my aunt a couple of years ago that I read every now and then: Bosnian For Dummies – a not-so-subtle hint to brush up on my language skills.

The Lunch Restaurant

Zarathustra does the best meze in Oslo. I love the baba ganoush, sigara borek and labneh with vegetables. Also, Brasserie France is a little piece of Paris in Scandinavia.

The Date Night Spot

I love Maaltid for date night. The food and atmosphere are amazing. I recommend the tartare. I also just tested out Cave Mia. The vibe was cute and the linguini with butter and caviar was so good.

The Bar

It has to be Bar Brutal in Barcelona. It’s a tapas and wine bar, and the atmosphere is great. The staff, vibe and food are all spot on.
