This season, I'm all about a statement leopard boot, and these from Toteme are seriously tempting. They’re the kind of pair I’d put money behind because it’d be difficult to find something as good elsewhere. A grey sweatshirt is a cornerstone of my autumn/winter wardrobe, and the high street has some great options that won’t break the bank. I've been buying ARKET sweatshirts for years – they're a staple I can't live without. Versatile and effortless, they pair with everything and can be dressed up or down with ease.

If I am going to splurge on something, it needs to be special – and it doesn't get more special than a pair of red leather trousers. Leather is a good investment because it looks better the more it's worn, so by the time I've done my girl maths, the cost per wear is basically nothing. I will always save on the basics – like vests and t-shirts from Uniqlo. The quality is still good, so they still last through repeated wears and washes.

While there are several high-end denim brands I love, I'm a serial high-street denim buyer. I find the cuts and quality so impressive – particularly from COS. When investing, I'm such a vintage and second-hand designer bag girl – and love searching for cool gems on eBay and Vestiaire Collective because second-hand is always a steal compared to the original retail price.

I've developed a habit of either losing or breaking sunglasses, so I now lean towards more affordable styles. I love this aviator pair by Banbé. Suede is something I would like to invest more in this season, and a blazer is a timeless piece that I know I will have in my wardrobe forever.

I always invest in good-quality jackets. This quilted style from Lavenham is hand crafted – it actually keeps me warm while still looking chic. As for knitwear, I think the high street is really underrated, and you can find some affordable gems. From mohair blend vests to cashmere sweaters, ARKET and H&M always deliver.
