Lola: London is the first city that comes to mind when I need inspiration. The fashion scene in the late 90s/2000s had so much edge and individuality. There was such a strong sense of self-expression through style. There is something so authentic and unapologetic about it. There have also been so many revolutionary British designers that I get inspired by every day: Galliano, McQueen, Westwood.
Jazzy: London has an eccentricity to it that I love. My friends, my family, walking in the park with my dog, Banana – also music, museums, and Portobello Market. There’s something about it. Maybe it’s the fact that it’s usually grey, so everyone makes up for it with a great sense of humour.
Lola: I think what Saint Laurent is doing with its lingerie and slips is so effortlessly cool and chic. I also adore what Chemena Kamali is doing at Chloé – you just put it on and instantly feel beautiful and feminine.
Jazzy: I’m also loving Saint Laurent, as well as Courrèges and I loved what Pieter Mulier did at Alaïa. I’m excited to see what he does next at Versace too.
Lola: I am a huge vintage collector. I don’t really do trends and never want to be dressed the same as anyone else. I buy my vintage pieces from a wide range of places – Portobello Market, Archival, Aralda Vintage and One of a Kind Archive.
Jazzy: I love Portobello Market on a Friday morning – you have to go early to get the best bits. They have a mix of all my favourite staples, from old Levi’s and leather jackets to 1920s slip dresses. I also love Found & Vision and Lovers Lane for vintage finds, and for buying new, I love a bit of Selfridges.
Jazzy: I love flea markets and finding unique pieces. LA has a lot of great ones too, like the Rose Bowl and the Fairfax one in West Hollywood. I also love the city’s vintage shops like Aralda.
Lola: Agree. LA has the best vintage. When I was 21, I went to LA and had a complete style shift. I fell in love with vintage clothes and really started to treasure and appreciate them. I completely changed my wardrobe and grew so much more confident. I would like to start my own archive one day. Vintage has also been such an inspiration for Debute.
Jazzy: I always recommend Debute to friends. We try to make pieces that aren’t trend-based – things you want to reach for time and time again.
Lola: Also, my friend Viktor is about to launch his brand, Viktor Gichev. He is so talented and right now he is the person I’m telling everyone about – I am obsessed. He is definitely one to watch.
Jazzy: If I had to pick one high-street brand, it would be Zara. It nails the basics – a good t-shirt, a crisp shirt, a well-cut pair of trousers – and always looks far more expensive than it is.
Lola: I’m not really an everyday staples kind of girl – I’m always slightly overdressed. However, SKIMS does the comfiest basics.
Jazzy: My most-worn piece is a black D&G slip my mum gave me for my birthday. I have worn it time and again – whether at Glastonbury with biker boots or dressed up with heels. It’s the perfect little LBD.
Lola: The best purchase I’ve ever made is a McQueen dress from his last collection. I didn’t really realise the importance of the piece at the time but it is by far the most special piece I own. It has stood the test of time because the older I get, the more I love and appreciate it. I can’t wait to hand it down to my daughter one day.
Lola: I live in my dad's baggy jeans, heeled boots – my favourite are vintage Tom Ford for Gucci – a white Debute tank and black Saint Laurent sunglasses.
Jazzy: My go to outfit at the moment is a pair of old Gucci black trousers that I stole from my mum, a cute Debute top, a pair of Saint Laurent loafers and a coat or jacket thrown over.
Jazzy: I love my Chanel slingbacks. I live in them in the summer. I don’t really like sandals, so they’re the perfect in-between.
Lola: My most worn shoes are probably my Miu Miu biker boots. I love that I can wear them with jeans in the winter and mini-dresses in the summer.
Jazzy: When it comes to accessories, I love The Veil. It’s a brand created by two of my best friends, and they make the most beautiful evening bags.
Lola: I just bought the Gucci Borsetta Medium Boston bag. It’s perfect to take to the office every day, as it fits my laptop. It’s so chic.
Jazzy: I find Jamaica one of the most creatively inspiring places. I lived there till I was seven – it’s such a special place, so full of life, colour and character.
Lola: The Mezzatore Hotel in Ischia is my favourite hotel. It is the most magical place. But I get inspired everywhere I go, and it often has to do with the people I am with; they are the ones who inspire me.
Jazzy: When it comes to downtime and rituals, I love a workout followed by an infrared sauna. If I’m somewhere hot, I love going on hikes and being outside.
Lola: For me, I always put my face in a bowl of ice and water when I wake up – it makes me feel snatched and ready for the day.
Jazzy: I have so many favourite food spots around the world but when in London, I love Canteen on Portobello – it has the most delicious pasta.
Lola: I am such a foodie. There are so many places I love but one of my favourites is probably the Vitello Tonnato at Macau in Ibiza.
Jazzy: The one piece in my wardrobe I couldn’t live without is a pale blue shirt my stepdad gave me. It has his initials on it and is perfectly worn in. I love it and it makes me think of him every time I wear it.
Lola: For me, it’s the Debute Tish dress. It is everything I love about clothes. It’s feminine and sexy. You can pair it with ballet flats and an army jacket or with heels and a fur coat. It is cool yet elegant, and you can really make it your own.
