What Nana’s Wearing To Summer Events

Summer is by far my favourite season. If I could wear summer clothes all year round, I would. As event season ramps up, I love to make mini moodboards on my iPad for each occasion. It also gives me the chance to pull out some old classics from my wardrobe and see how I can rework them to make them feel modern and relevant. For a bit of inspo, I’ve broken down some of the events I’m planning to attend this season – including a holiday I’m excited about – so you can see how I plan for every occasion.

Wimbledon

Wimbledon is one of those summer events that I just love to attend every year. For me, it’s only right to go for an all-white look – in keeping with the tennis-core vibes which feel even more relevant post-Challengers

All Points East

I love a London festival because it means I don’t have to travel far to hear great music. Comfort is key as it’s a long day that will involve a lot of walking around Victoria Park. A denim playsuit is a failsafe – not forgetting a bomber jacket for when the temperature drops in the evening.

The Hamptons

I’m off to The Hamptons next month and I’ve been briefed by friends that they plan on hitting up some of the bougee bars and a sunset beach party. A floaty maxi dress, sandals and sunnies is my formula for understated glamour.

Black-Tie Wedding

I never need an excuse to get really dressed up, but a black-tie wedding is a legitimate reason to go all out. I’m planning on a statement dress and killer heels, teamed with a beautiful clutch and accessories.

Summer Garden Party

I’m currently in the process of doing a bathroom and kitchen renovation in my flat. It will be done at the end of summer and one of the first things I’ll be doing is throwing a garden party. This embroidered co-ord is the perfect choice.
