Mister Nice
Sapna Rao
Mister Nice is one of those spots that does everything I love really well, as well as nailing the atmosphere and vibe. It’s the spot I go to spoil myself, whether it’s for a birthday or a date night. Food-wise, my favourite orders are the vodka pasta, the lobster pasta, the crying tiger steak (you must get this with mash and the butter leaf salad), plus the unreal desserts. I’m usually a chocolate fondant girl but here I always have the crème brulee. Outfit-wise, you can go more cool-girl than overly dressy – although if you want to go a little OTT the vibe allows for a little creative freedom. My go-to look would be something like this mega Nanushka silk jacket, a pair of wide-leg tailored trousers, a cool pair of heels, plus tinted specs to finish.

Carlotta
Lucia Hawley
Carlotta in Marylebone is my go-to for a proper date night – I actually went for Valentine’s Day recently and it never misses. For me, dining is all about atmosphere (and, of course, hearty food) and Carlotta delivers on both. If you’re going, you have to order the truffle fettuccine for two – it’s perfect to share – plus, a spicy marg or a glass of Billecart to start the night properly. The booths are tucked away, just enough to feel intimate, which makes it the kind of place where you can really lean into the glamour. I’d match the mood with this chic fringed two-piece from Camilla and Marc – the movement in the fringe feels elevated but still cool. Add silver accents like these sculptural By Alona earrings and patent Mango heels to tie it together, then finish with a pony hair zebra clutch from River Island for a subtle hit of pattern.

Akara
Nana Acheampong
Akara remains one of my favourite restaurants in London. It’s got that warm, intimate feel the second you walk in – low lighting, earthy tones and natural textures that make it feel cosy but still elevated. It fuses West African flavours with modern European cooking in a way that feels exciting yet still comforting, making it the perfect spot for dinner. I’d pair my red leather trousers with a blue-and-white striped shirt – something crisp to balance the richness of the leather. Clear aviator glasses and white peep-toe mules keep the look polished. I’d finish with a red patent bag and gold dome earrings.

Kudu
Emma Bigger
I’ve recently discovered Kudu, and it’s fast become a firm favourite. Tucked away in Marylebone, it has that intimate, low-lit glow that’s ideal for an easy dinner that still feels like a treat. The South African-inspired food is seriously good – bold, punchy flavours designed for sharing – exactly the kind of place you want to return to again and again. There’s also a great cocktail bar upstairs, so you can kick on with drinks and make a proper night of it.
When it comes to what I wear, pleated wide-leg trousers are my go-to for restaurant chic – polished yet relaxed. I’ll add a softly draped top to elevate things without trying too hard, then finish with a few directional accessories to pull it all together. It’s a simple formula: considered, quietly dressed up and cool.
