The Jagger Sisters Talk Fashion, Beauty & Their Perfect London Days

Few people capture London's eclectic spirit quite like Georgia May and Lizzy Jagger – so for our latest Cover Stars shoot, Sapna and Lu joined the sisters for a quintessential London summer afternoon, complete with lunch in the garden, lawn games and a peek inside their wardrobes. Between conversations about fashion, travel, beauty and culture, the Jo Malone London Global Ambassadors opened up their little black books, sharing everything from the vintage haunts and restaurants they always recommend to the cities, hotels and books they return to time and again.

I don't think anywhere else does that MIX OF INDIVIDUALITY, CREATIVITY AND HERITAGE quite like London. People dress with REAL PERSONALITY.

FASHION

London is my favourite fashion capital because so many of my go-to designers come from there. I've always loved McQueen and Vivienne Westwood. That said, I think New York has the most unique street style. Everyone dresses so individually and confidently. – Georgia

As far as independent shops go, Waste in Hackney is one of my favourites. I love the mix of clothing and zines, and it always feels really creative whenever I go in. – Georgia

Minnie T's in Los Angeles is one of favourite shopping destinations. It's one of those places where you can spend hours looking through the rails and always come away with something unexpected. – Lizzy

The under-the-radar brand I'm loving is Pristine. It makes the best t-shirts and I recently bought a silk sailor dress from there that I've been wearing constantly. I wear a lot of De La Vali too, especially its evening dresses. – Georgia

For vintage shopping, I recommend Rellik and Alfie's Antique Market because you can always find something unexpected. – Georgia

The vintage scene in San Francisco is so good. I've found some incredible vintage pieces there over the years and there's always something to discover. – Lizzy

My sister Jade is a JEWELLERY DESIGNER. She makes INCREDIBLE RINGS and I always buy them for friends as gifts.

One of my favourite pieces is my rainbow chiffon cape dress from Thierry Mugler. My sister used to have one that belonged to my mother but it was burnt in a fire sadly. I felt very lucky when I  found another one. – Georgia

My top pick in my wardrobe would be my Antony Price dress. It's one of those pieces that makes you feel completely transformed the moment you put it on. – Lizzy

Vivienne Westwood is the designer I always come back to. Everything feels fun to wear. However, one of the best investment pieces I've ever bought is a pair of black suit trousers from The Row. They go with everything. – Georgia

I always come back to Zac Posen. His dresses are so beautifully cut and always make you feel your best. My black silk Saint Laurent jumpsuit is also something I'll never get rid of. – Lizzy

My vintage Levi's Silvertab jeans are probably the most worn item in my wardrobe. Right now, I'm also searching for a very specific pair of lace-up black Saint Laurent boots designed by Hedi Slimane. I already own them in a star print  but I've been trying to track down the black pair for years. – Georgia

My most-worn item is a custom-made Vivienne Westwood jester catsuit that the designer herself made for me. I've worn it more times than I can count. – Lizzy

For jewellery, it's my sister Jade's designs I wear most. She makes incredible rings and I always buy them for friends as gifts too. – Georgia

I also love Ming. The pieces feel special but still easy to wear every day. – Lizzy

I've TRIED EVERYTHING from buccal facials and Rolfing to Shirodhara. But honestly, THERAPY MIGHT BE THE MOST VALUABLE TREATMENT of all.

BEAUTY & WELLNESS

MAY Botanicals is my skincare brand and I always reach for the Kelp! Seaweed Sheet Mask when my skin feels dry or tired. I especially love using it before a big event or shoot. – Georgia

Beef tallow is my secret beauty hack. I have hereditary eczema and it's one of the things that really works for my skin. Mascara is the other thing I never leave the house without. – Lizzy

I love getting facials at Pfeffer Sal in London. When I'm in Los Angeles, I also book in with Shani Darden and Skin Worship. – Georgia

Vanessa Hernandez in Los Angeles is fantastic for facials too. I also love giving myself one at home. – Lizzy

My signature scent is almost always Jo Malone London's English Pear & Freesia. It's classic, elegant and something I never get bored of wearing. – Georgia

Mine is Jo Malone London's English Pear & Sweet Pea Cologne. I can't help but smile when I wear it. It's playful, subtle and instantly makes my day better. – Lizzy

Olympic Spa in Los Angeles is one of my favourite beauty destinations. You can spend hours there trying different treatments, saunas and cold plunges. – Georgia

Beverly Hot Springs in Los Angeles is my go-to. I've also tried everything from buccal facials and Rolfing to Shirodhara. But honestly, therapy might be the most valuable treatment of all. – Lizzy

The V&A is probably my FAVOURITE MUSEUM IN LONDON. I love the ancient pottery and there's a room filled with old locks and keys that I'm obsessed with.

TRAVEL & CULTURE

Japan is somewhere I never get bored of visiting. I've been around five times but still want to go back. – Georgia

Mustique in the West Indies is where I return to often. The pace of life is completely different and I always leave feeling refreshed. – Lizzy

One of the coolest hotels I've stayed at is Six Senses Phuket in Thailand. It was so beautiful that I wanted to go back almost immediately. – Georgia

The Clift Royal Sonesta by Ian Schrager has always stood out to me and I also love Blake's Hotel. Both have so much personality. – Lizzy

The V&A is probably my top museum in London. I love the ancient pottery and there's a room filled with old locks and keys that I'm obsessed with. – Georgia

The British Museum and Jeffrey Deitch's galleries are two places I could visit over and over. I always come away having discovered something new. – Lizzy

The CHICEST BAR in the world is probably at Claridge's. I went recently for my birthday and the COCKTAILS WERE INCREDIBLE.

FOOD & DRINK

I always recommend Trullo in Angel or Towpath in the summer. They're both places I return to time and again. For late-night food, I love Speedboat Bar in Soho. The Thai food is amazing and they serve really late. – Georgia

My top picks are Mr Chow and In-N-Out Burger – one is a classic institution and the other is a Californian institution. – Lizzy

One of my favourite breakfast spots is Sundays in Islington. I always order the courgette fritters. My coffee order is a flat white — it's what I order every day without really thinking about it. – Georgia

Breakfast at home is always the best. And while everyone else is ordering coffee, I'll have a ginger tea every time – it's the first thing I reach for in the morning. – Lizzy

The chicest bar in the world is probably at Claridge's. I went recently for my birthday and the cocktails were incredible. I usually prefer a pub but it felt really special. – Georgia

Bemelmans Bar in New York is impossibly chic and feels completely timeless. Walking in feels like stepping into another era. – Lizzy

HOME & LIFESTYLE

I wouldn't be without my Jo Malone London English Pear & Freesia candle – the four-wick version. I always have one burning at home and it's become one of those little things I associate with feeling completely relaxed. – Lizzy

At the moment, my playlist is dominated by Pretty Sick, mixed with a lot of the Moana soundtrack because my son is obsessed with it. – Georgia

Sleaze, The Rolling Stones and 'Drift Away' by Dobie Gray are regular listens. It's a mix of old favourites and songs I never seem to get tired of listening to, depending on my mood and where I am. – Lizzy

My most recent read was The Country Girls by Edna O'Brien. It's a coming-of-age story about two young women growing up in rural Ireland and follows their friendship as they navigate love, ambition and independence. It's beautifully written and completely absorbing. – Georgia

First Position by Melanie Hamrick is one of the best recent books I've read. I also love Through The Looking-Glass, which I can return to time and again. There's something wonderfully escapist about it. – Lizzy
