Available in single, double and super-king sizes, the new gabled design from Hadeda is inspired by the Dutch architecture of the Western Cape in South Africa. Stocked in a range of Whiteman and Mellor fabrics, as well as a raffia finish, all of them are mounted and able to fit any bed base.

‘Contemporary on the Mezzanine’ is a newly curated section at this year’s Decorative Fair. Showcasing a range of modern craft and design dealers, the event features a selection of creative pieces by some of the best makers and artists working today. The new contemporary section slots in alongside 135 exhibitors on the ground floor, bringing together a variety of decorative and fine antiques, objects and artwork all under one roof. On until 9th October.
Curio is the online destination worth bookmarking. Button & Sprung
Bed maker Button & Sprung has moved its London showroom. The 5,850 sq ft space in Battersea is the one of the largest in the city, and features four tailormade bedroom spaces to allow visitors to view the exclusive range of upholstered beds and test out pocket-sprung mattresses in relaxed surroundings. There are also free fabric samples to take away, as well as complimentary refreshments and a children’s play area to give adults time and space to consider their purchase.
Maie is the sustainable furniture brand to know about. Its inaugural piece is this stunning coffee table, made entirely from natural stone and expertly crafted by London-based Diespeker & Co. The brand’s ‘slow furniture’ model means all pieces are made to order to avoid unnecessary waste, while offcuts are repurposed into accessories that are included with every order.
Colours of Arley
Colours of Arley creates some of the most beautiful bespoke fabrics we’ve seen in a long time. With 180 colours to choose from and three different stripes – skinny, midi and grand – you can mix and match tones and pattern to create your own design for upholstery or curtains. For £70 a metre, your bespoke fabric will be designed, created and delivered in just a few days.
Salvesen Graham Chairs
Handmade in England, Salvesen Graham’s new side chair, carver chair and dressing table chair are produced using traditional methods and materials, and can be upholstered in your choice of fabric. They’re designed for versatility – we recommend using them in dining spaces, hallways and studies.
August & Piers
We’ve long been fans of August & Piers, so we were excited to hear it’s launching a luxurious three-wick ‘Libertine’ candle exclusively at Harrods. Embracing the free-spirited meaning of its name, the scent features notes of wood, cinnamon leaf and patchouli. At the same time, customers can also browse the extended line of scents and mini candles, including ‘Darling’, ‘Socialite’, ‘Eccentric’ and ‘Saint’.
SL favourite Trove has just expanded its glassware range. Available in two new colourways – oxblood coral and aubergine khaki – the leopard print design has become something of a signature for the design studio. These tumblers are perfect for party tipples or as small vases.
Henry Prideaux x Jennifer Manners
As part of a collaboration with rug designer Jennifer Manners, interior designer Henry Prideaux has launched the Rondel, a 3D design which draws inspiration from classical architectural details. Subtly echoing the style of a convex mirror, it’s crafted entirely by hand using repurposed fibres, and is also extremely hard-wearing and stain resistant.
The Natural Screen Company Bespoke Butler’s Trays
Handmade in the UK by artisan craftsmen, these bespoke butler’s trays and tables can be made up in the colour of your choice (choose from a range of Graphenstone or Farrow & Ball paints) and finished with your initials or brand etched onto glass. We love the desk version, which has an open side and a hole at the back to keep computer and charging cables out of sight.
