Dear Readers,

At this time of year, we start to feel pretty impatient waiting for spring to arrive. However, in February, the team has done a good job of mitigating the end-of-winter weariness. We’ve interviewed some of the industry’s most exciting names, from Shrimps founder Hannah Weiland to behemoth Rejina Pyo to one of my favourite Instagram follows – stylist and vintage collector Jen Wonders. We invited our contributors and friends to quietly launch SL Faces, a more official name for regular SL talent, and are excited to continue to work with the likes of Alexandra Dudley, Adeola Gboyega, Anna Bromilow and Rafeeka – on everything from the site to the podcast and the SheerLuxe Show. A quick mention should also go to the LuxeGirl podcast, which kicked off this month, with plenty of girl chat alongside thought-provoking interviews with Anastasia Mclean, who described living with and managing bi-polar disorder, and Roxy Longworth, who eloquently told of her experiences being blackmailed into sending explicit photos. We’re proud to continue to have these important conversations – Georgie’s interview with Emma Bishop, a mother of two living with stage four lung cancer resonated strongly with our team and viewers. We’re also looking forward to holding a fundraiser for the Royal Marsden charity in her honour over the coming months, as well as setting up a new partnership with Working Chance – the UK's only employment charity that works solely with and on behalf of women with convictions.

Now for March – and the onslaught of newness. I’m excited for our latest campaign with Levi’s to launch, in which three of our SL faces show us around their favourite corners of London. We have a borrowed-from-the-boys shoot in the pipeline with the multi-talented NL Marilyn, too, and the SL Beauty Awards are also underway; there’s a special Show in the works for the end of the month, featuring some of the biggest names in the beauty industry who will help to announce the winners. If you haven’t yet, make sure you cast your votes here. Last month you may have noticed some changes to the daily email and onsite content – readers of our supplements, from Gold to Weddings, can expect some slick new updates in March which will make our emails look better than ever.

I must shout out [to] GLENEAGLES, WHERE I RECENTLY SPENT MY BIRTHDAY WEEKEND. It’s not quite what I was expecting ... [but has] become A NEW UK FAVOURITE. March brings a little less sophistication with a trip to see Magic Mike Live.

This month, special mention goes to my latest jewellery discover, Paola Sighinolfi – a Barcelona-based brand whose chunky rings and bracelets look far more expensive than they are. I must also shout out Gleneagles, where I recently spent my birthday weekend. It’s not quite what I was expecting – the hotel and its grounds are unimaginably vast – but after a few days of off-road driving, endless martinis and unexpectedly glorious sunshine surrounded by beautiful interiors and scenery, it’s become a new UK favourite. March brings a little less sophistication with a trip to see Magic Mike Live, which I’m hoping to offset with a visit to Notting Hill’s latest opening, TBC – The Butter Club – on Golborne Road. It offers ‘luxury comfort food’ including milk bread lobster rolls and buttermilk chicken brioche. Plus, the latest (and final) season of Succession drops soon, which should pass the time until the clocks roll forward and spring officially begins.
