This Month’s Health & Fitness List

From superfood-infused protein powder to energy and sound healing, here’s what you need to know about in the world of health and wellbeing this November…

Pricc

If you’ve never experienced the benefits of acupuncture, the idea of getting poked with needles to relax may sound counterproductive, but Pricc, tucked away in Notting Hill, is determined to change the perception of this traditional Chinese therapy. Offering quick 30-minute treatments as well as longer sessions, the Pricc experts will get to work on your meridians to boost self-healing and circulation, as well as ease pain and balance hormones. Whether you’re struggling with low mood, poor digestion, unpredictable sleep patterns or painful periods, Pricc is the destination to have on your radar for better wellbeing.

ARTAH

The brainchild of nutritionist and naturopath Rhian Stephenson, also the former CEO of Psycle, Artah is known for its results-driven detox programmes, which can be done either online or via one of its annual retreats in Spain. Now, Artah is launching its own supplement range, and we predict big things. Rhian is a firm believer in tackling the root cause of disease through preventative medicine, and this comes through in the range – electrolyte powders that deeply hydrate, immune-boosting formulas that feature up-and-coming botanicals and gut supplements rooted in Ayurveda. We’ve got our eye on Artah’s Enhanced Nootropics, which blends 5HTP with high dose ashwagandha and B vitamins, the perfect formula for improved mood and anxiety. Launches on 18th November.

Mother Root

Free-from drinks are everywhere these days, but not all are created equal. Instead of masquerading as an alcohol-free spirit, Mother Root falls into its own category. Founded by Bethan Higson, who has been in the wine industry for over a decade, this punchy ginger-flavoured drink will fast become your winter go-to. Blended with intensely concentrated ginger, blossom honey, ginger extract and apple cider vinegar, mix it with sparkling water and a sprig of rosemary to create the perfect (and guilt-free) Friday night mocktail. Alternatively, add to warm water to soothe a sore, scratchy throat.

Sex Talks

A monthly event series and live podcast recording hosted by women’s media platform Her Hustle at the London EDITION, Sex Talks is determined to raise awareness about women’s health and sexual pleasure. The second instalment, being held on 25th November, will explore the female orgasm with renowned clinical psychologist and psycho-sexologist Dr Karen Gurney. An informal evening featuring drinks, a fireside chat, and a sex therapy-inspired activity, we highly recommend booking asap as tickets for the previous event sold out within days.
