Ingredients
2 cups of red lentils, rinsed
Boiled water
2 tsp of olive oil
1 tsp of cumin seeds
1 red onion chopped finely
400g of chopped tomatoes
1 tsp of turmeric
1 tsp of ground coriander
1 tsp of garamond masala
2 cloves of garlic, crushed
Pinch of white pepper
1 tbsp of tomato puree
1 handful fresh coriander
2 wholemeal wraps
Wedge of lime
Method
Step 1
Simmer the lentils in the water for ten minutes until soft, drain and set aside.
Step 2
Heat the oil in a large pan, then add the onion and garlic and cook on a medium heat until soft.
Step 3
Add the tomatoes, tomato puree, spices, fresh ginger, chilli flakes, white pepper and the lentils. Stir well and leave for ten minutes.
Step 4
Meanwhile heat your wraps, them into quarters and serve with the dhal.
