Delicious Dhal |

  • 2 cups of red lentils, rinsed
  • Boiled water
  • 2 tsp of olive oil
  • 1 tsp of cumin seeds
  • 1 red onion chopped finely
  • 400g of chopped tomatoes
  • 1 tsp of turmeric
  • 1 tsp of ground coriander
  • 1 tsp of garamond masala
  • 2 cloves of garlic, crushed
  • Pinch of white pepper
  • 1 tbsp of tomato puree
  • 1 handful fresh coriander
  • 2 wholemeal wraps
  • Wedge of lime


  1. Simmer the lentils in the water for ten minutes until soft, drain and set aside.
  2. Heat the oil in a large pan, then add the onion and garlic and cook on a medium heat until soft.
  3. Add the tomatoes, tomato puree, spices, fresh ginger, chilli flakes, white pepper and the lentils. Stir well and leave for ten minutes.
  4. Meanwhile heat your wraps, them into quarters and serve with the dhal.
