The series fashion fans have been waiting for. Alexa Chung joins forces with Queer Eye’s Tan France for a new Netflix competition, in which a group of 18 designers fight for $250,000 prize money and a contract with NET-A-PORTER. Expect glitz, glamour and some seriously good industry cameos.

Spinning Out, Netflix

A figure skating Olympic hopeful struggles to balance family, love and fragile mental health as her dream of winning takes a dizzying hold. After a devastating fall threatens her competitive skating career, Kat Baker (Kaya Scodelario) seizes an opportunity to pursue her Olympic dreams, but at the risk of losing everything. Spinning Out follows Kat as she battles her personal demons and faces drama both on and off the ice.

Phantom Thread, Amazon Prime

Set in the glamour of post-war London, renowned dressmaker Reynolds Woodcock (Daniel Day-Lewis) and his sister Cyril (Lesley Manville) are at the centre of British fashion, dressing royalty, movie stars, heiresses, socialites, debutants and dames with the distinct style of The House of Woodcock. Women come and go through Woodcock’s life, providing the confirmed bachelor with inspiration and companionship, until he comes across a young, strong-willed woman, Alma (Vicky Krieps), who soon becomes a fixture in his life as his muse and lover.

Messiah, Netflix

Political intrigue, religious debate and civil disruption make this series an exciting thriller based on a modern-day preacher from the Middle East. The story follows the mysterious ‘Messiah’ through the eyes of various narrators who are trying to understand why and how he has amassed a large following: is he a prophet sent from a higher power? Or just a con man?

You – Series 2, Netflix

If you haven’t seen the first series of this cult favourite, which first appeared on Netflix at the end of 2018, catch up fast. Season two brings plenty more devious antics from psycho stalker Joe Goldberg. Chances are you’ll be hooked after just a few episodes, intent on finding out what Joe will do next in order to win over his new obsession, a wealthy LA hippy girl called Love. There’s murder, corruption and plenty of nail-biting drama that will keep you glued to your screen.

The Witcher, Netflix

Missing Game of Thrones? Welcome to your new obsession. Henry Cavill plays Geralt of Rivia, a monster hunter who rides across ‘The Continent’ fighting and causing mayhem. This won’t disappoint fans of the books or game and, because it’s easy to watch, it’s suitable for newcomers too.

The Confession Killer, Netflix

Henry Lee Lucas claimed to have killed hundreds of people at random across an eight-year period in the 80s. Though the veracity of his claims was questioned by officials who heard his confessions, he became a sort-of celebrity. This documentary traces the events that fuelled his rise to infamy.

The Outsider, Now TV

A seemingly straightforward murder investigation takes a sinister turn when an insidious supernatural force edges its way into the case. We can’t wait to watch this adaptation of the Stephen King novel, starring some of our favourite actors: think Ben Mendelsohn, Jason Bateman, Paddy Considine, Cynthia Erivo and Bill Camp.

John Adams, Now TV

This HBO historical drama stars Paul Giamatti as one of America's founding fathers, who goes on to become the nation's second president. In tonight’s first episode, lawyer John Adams's dedication to his career prompts him to defend British soldiers in the aftermath of the Boston Massacre, a move which leads him into the world of politics. Also stars Laura Linney and John Bedford Lloyd.

The Deuce – Series 2, Now TV

James Franco and Maggie Gyllenhaal star in a gritty drama from David Simon (The Wire) that traces the evolution of the porn industry in NYC in the 1970s. In series two, Abby befriends a graffiti artist named Pilar and takes a surprising trip downtown. Candy sets a firm line with Hank when it comes to money, while Todd re-examines his priorities.

The Gift, Netflix

Described as a supernatural archaeological thriller, The Gift is set in Istanbul, where a young painter named Atiye discovers the oldest temple on Earth. As it tells the story of Atiye’s battles to solve the puzzles she finds, this Netflix Original deals with ancient mysteries and symbols in a way that is both enlightening and interesting.
