MONDAY 11TH

Jamie's Christmas Shortcuts, 8pm, Channel 4

Jamie Oliver is back to show us all how to enjoy Christmas without blowing the budget. In this first episode, he shares his need-to-know recipes for a spectacular Christmas Day feast, from his foolproof guide to the ultimate roast turkey to a showstopping veggie centrepiece and stuffing that will please meat-eaters and vegetarians. Plus, Jamie shows off his shortcuts for perfect roast potatoes.

The Real Full Monty, 9pm, ITV

Ashley Banjo and Coleen Nolan take on a new troupe of celebrities and prepare them for a dance show that will see them bare all to raise awareness of important cancer checks. TV presenter Julia Bradbury, actress Sherrie Hewson, TV personality Gemma Collins, pro-skater Vanessa Bauer, actress Victoria Ekanoye, former royal butler Paul Burrell, footballer Ashley Cain, ex-rugby player Ben Cohen, drag queen Ella Vaday and TOWIE star Pete Wicks will all take part and share their deeply personal reasons for wanting to raise awareness of cancer.


TUESDAY 12TH

Gogglebox 10 Year Anniversary Special, 10pm, Channel 4

This anniversary special shows many of the highlights from the first 10 years of Gogglebox, looking back at how a nation survived lockdowns, a revolving door of prime ministers and Ed Balls dancing Gangnam Style on Strictly. Features appearances by old faces Steph and Dom, Leon, June, and Sandra and Sandi, current armchair critics Pete and Sophie, Mary and Giles, Jenny, and Lee, and the Siddiquis – who have been on Gogglebox for the entire run.


WEDNESDAY 13TH

Smothered, 9pm, Sky Comedy

Co-created by Monica Heisey (a writer on Schitt’s Creek and a recent SheerLuxe Book Club guest author), Smothered is a not-so-typical rom-com. On a night out, two strangers meet, and end up singing out their drunken souls in a karaoke booth. Then the inevitable happens. The strangers agree to have a no-strings attached affair for three weeks – but on the condition that they never speak again. During what was supposed to be a few weeks of great sex, pasta in bed and first names only, the sparks flying around them cannot be ignored.

Mary Berry's Highland Christmas, 9pm, BBC1

Mary Berry travels to the Scottish Highlands on a winter break to cook up some indulgent dishes that can be enjoyed at any time over the festive season, including a cranachan wreath, cheese fondue and her classic buche de noel. Alongside time in the kitchen, Mary reflects on her heritage and her Scottish roots, with Andy Murray, Iain Stirling and Emeli Sande accompanying her through the episode.


FRIDAY 15TH

Christmas in the Cotswolds, 9pm, Channel 5

This one-off episode takes a look at one of the UK's most visited destinations during the festive season, including a Christmas market in the town of Broadway and a visit to a luxury hotel to see how a top chef makes a festive afternoon tea to remember.

Chicken Run: Rise Of The Nugget, Netflix

Over 20 years since award-winning film Chicken Run was released, Aardman’s sequel featuring the much-loved characters will drop on Netflix this Friday. Having pulled off a death-defying escape from Tweedy’s farm, Ginger has finally found her dream – a peaceful island sanctuary for the whole flock, far from the dangers of the human world. When she and Rocky hatch a little girl called Molly, Ginger’s happy ending seems complete. But back on the mainland the whole of chicken-kind faces a new and terrible threat. For Ginger and her team, this time, they’re breaking in. 


SATURDAY 16TH

Strictly Come Dancing: The Final, 7pm, BBC1

The remaining couples compete in the final of the ballroom dancing contest, hosted by Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman. Cher will be performing and the cast of 2023 will return for one more epic routine. Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke will be ranking their dances, but only the viewers' votes will count to determine this year’s winner.

Survivor: The Final, 9pm, BBC1

In the last immunity challenge, a guaranteed spot in the final three is on the line for whoever who can endure the longest. With one last place on the jury, who will fall at the final hurdle? Who will make up the final three and who will win the life-changing prize of £100,000 and the title of Sole Survivor?


SUNDAY 17TH

The Royal Variety Performance 2023, 8PM, ITV

Bradley Walsh hosts the gala evening at the Royal Albert Hall, featuring performances by Cher, Zara Larsson, McFly, Paloma Faith, Rick Astley and Hannah Waddingham and the ENO Chorus. There is a musical medley to celebrate Disney's 100th anniversary with cast members from Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Frozen, Hercules and The Lion – plus comedy from Tom Allen, Rosie Jones and Simon Brodkin.
