Everyone knows Spotify is where you’ll find the best playlists – and it might surprise you to know some of the industry’s coolest fashion brands are behind them. From dinner party mixes to feel-good tunes, here are the accounts to follow.

Hunza G

For Discovering New Artists

Hunza G doesn’t just make great swimwear, it also puts together playlists for every occasion – house parties, girls nights and more. We like the playlist curated by LA-based DJ The Alaia, which is a mix of house, funk and soul music by smaller names you might not have heard of, like instrumentalist Boy Dude.

For Chilled Vibes

The music here is inspired by the Alexander McQueen shows. Currently just three playlists strong, the latest – curated by composer Isobel Waller-Bridge (yes, Phoebe’s sister) – is our favourite. It includes tracks by Caribou, George FitzGerald, Erykah Badu and more.

For Up-And-Coming Artists

Maison Kitsuné’s Spotify account harks back to the French fashion brand’s origins as a record label. Playlists are split into party or relaxed themes – its most popular is the ‘Kitsuné Musique Essential’ which is regularly updated with new releases from historic label artists all the way through to up-and-coming musicians.

For Soul & Jazz

Sporty & Rich is going from strength to strength. In addition to its cool activations and collaboration with Rosewood Hotels, its social media team is busy updating its Spotify playlists, most of which are split into genres: disco, R&B, jazz and more. We like the soul edit featuring classics by Marvin Gaye, Sister Sledge, Dionne Warwick and Donny Hathaway.

For Workout Playlists

As you’d expect, adidas has a selection of cool workout tunes. From yoga to HIIT workouts, there’s something for everyone, whether you’re after calming tunes or beats to get your through a gym session. For up-tempo tracks, the ‘Run Fast, Run Far’ edit features DJ Seinfeld, AJ Tracey and Jorja Smith.

For A Bit Of Everything

Every few months, a new Isabel Marant playlist emerges – the latest of which features everyone from Animal Collective to Alice Glass, Blood Orange to Bjork. There are now 25 others to choose from, including the ‘March 24’ edit, featuring songs by SZA, Disclosure and Anz.

For Feel-Good Songs

Loewe has playlists to accompany nearly all its collaborations over the last few years. The Loewe x Paula’s Ibiza edit features feel-good party tunes, including ‘Dance, Dance, Dance’ by Chic and ‘Sunrise Paradise Garage’ by Open Spaces, while the Hypebeast edit features soft synth pop.

Wales Bonner, which is known for its blend of European and Afro influences, has numerous playlists that cross genres and continents. Our top pick is the ‘Togetherness’ playlist, a soulful collection curated by Grace Wales Bonner herself. It features tracks by Stevie Wonder, Michael Gregory, Miles Davis and more.

Gucci really makes the most of the streaming service, pulling together regular themed playlists. Of the recent mixes, we’ve mostly been listening to ‘Summer Stories’, which features everyone from Diana Ross and Pet Shop Boys to Saint Motel and Tame Impala.

The Row

For Catwalk Highlights

As you’d expect, fashion brand The Row has some of the coolest collections of songs on Spotify, ranging from The Cure to PJ Harvey and Grace Jones. As well as monthly edits, you’ll find soundtracks direct from the catwalk. Highlights from its June edition include songs by Sade, Fred Again.., and Nina Simone.

For An Impeccable Edit

Simon Porte Jacquemus has impeccable taste, so it should come as no surprise his brand’s Spotify account has been carefully curated. Simon’s own edit features over 60 of his favourite songs by the likes of his BFF Dua Lipa, as well as Frank Ocean, Janet Jackson, Burna Boy and Whitney Houston.
