Rembrandt: Radical Printmaker

Royal Academy of Arts

Rembrandt is celebrated for his paintings but his prints reveal a more experimental side to the Dutch master. This exhibition will bring together more than 120 works, exploring how he used etching to capture everything from intimate family portraits to religious scenes and everyday life. His willingness to embrace mistakes and push the medium's limits helped transform printmaking into an art form in its own right.

Punk To Pop

V&A South Kensington

The V&A will revisit the creative explosion that took place between 1972 and 1985, when punk's DIY attitude helped reshape British music, fashion and visual culture. Against a backdrop of political upheaval and economic uncertainty, a generation of artists challenged the status quo, embracing new technology and multicultural influences. The exhibition will explore how this period of radical experimentation helped change the cultural landscape.

Tate Modern's first exhibition devoted exclusively to the Impressionist painter will bring together works from international collections, including rarely seen pieces from private collections. Looking at Monet's relationship with time, it will explore how he captured the pace of modern life, the changing seasons and the same landscapes at different moments.
