Birch, Hertfordshire

On the outskirts of London, Birch is the hotel that calls itself a community, giving city dwellers the chance to relax with creative workshops, meditations, and special tasting menus. The Grade-II listed mansion is throwing a house party with a great line-up of acts, including Defected DJ Sophie Lloyd, DJ Mr Doris, and Hot Chip’s Joe Goddard for the finale. There’s also a fun roster of pre-party events, including a seven-course tasting menu at The Zebra Riding Club, a three-course sharing feast at all-day-dining restaurant Valerie’s, a gong bath sound healing session, and free makeovers with Birch’s glam squad. Those travelling with little ones can keep them entertained with creative workshops, a kids’ rave, and a movie night in the cinema room, supervised with childcare from Mortimer Nannies, who will be on hand until 1am. On New Year’s Day, head to the Lynx Bar for bloody marys until 3pm.

Price: Rooms from £150 per night.

Hackney’s retro Moth Club is hosting an 80s themed party for NYE.
