What’s New At The Supermarket

Whether it’s pre-bottled cocktails or a huge selection of plant-based meals to mix up your lunchtime routine, these are the latest products and discoveries to look out for during your next weekly shop.

Leon Soups & Salads

Fast-food brand Leon has launched six new dishes into Sainsbury’s as part of its lunchtime grocery range. The plant-based collection includes hot and cold single-serve lunch options that are ready to eat at home or in the office. The three soups and three salads take their inspiration from Leon’s restaurant menu over the years: think curried coconut and sweet potato rainbow soup, British pea and pesto soup; and our pick, the kale Caesar pasta salad, which swaps classic romaine leaves for shredded kale, riccioli pasta, vegan parmesan shavings and a creamy-vegan Caesar dressing.

Propercorn Caramelised Biscuit

Taking inspiration from this year’s most trend-worthy flavour – Biscoff – Propercorn has launched a Caramelised Biscuit bag of popcorn. The brand’s classic hand-popped popcorn has been blended with warm cinnamon biscuit and a hit of smooth caramel to create an autumn treat. With just 134 calories per 28g serving, the bag contains 63% less sugar and 85% less salt than leading brands, in addition to being high in fibre. As with all snacks in the range, these are vegan, gluten free and made using all-natural seasonings and no palm oil.
