What’s New At The Supermarket This Month

Whether it’s one of our favourite Asian restaurants expanding their at-home range or a luxury food brand now available online, these are the latest products and discoveries to look out for during your next weekly shop.

Filotea

You might think dried pastas are a bit of a dime a dozen – with the supermarket shelves stacked high with basic bags of the stuff. No more. On your next shop, make a beeline for Filotea – made according to an ancient recipe from the Marche region in Italy, the end product is reminiscent of how local grandmothers used to make their pasta. Light and easy to digest, its textured surface also helps to absorb any number of sauces, and there are multiple varieties available – from spinach fettucine to classic tagliatelle.

Deliciously Ella

Vegan snacks don’t get much better than these dinky packs from health-eating goddess Deliciously Ella. We love the Salted Chocolate Dipped Almonds, which are sprinkled with sea salt and dipped in a thin layer of vegan chocolate, before being dusted with cocoa powder to finish. The chocolate bars are also seriously moreish – think smooth vegan chocolate, roasted almonds, hazelnuts, cashews and a sprinkle of salt.

M&S Cake In A Jar

All three flavours of the M&S Cake In A Jar have been seriously hyped – but we’re pleased to report they’re all worth it. Choose from fruity Raspberry Ripple, rich and indulgent Trillionaire’s or the iconic Colin the Caterpillar. Perfect for picnics with friends or a no-fuss pudding in front of the television, they’re the ideal weekend treat.

Harvey Nichols at Ocado

A trip to a gourmet food hall is always fun, but not everyone has time to make a dedicated trip to spend hours browsing the aisles. Thankfully, Ocado has caught onto the problem, enlisting a range of Harvey Nichol’s products to be sold on its online platform. The highlight has to be the Saucy range – the ideal way to explore and expand your condiment repertoire.
