THE BRITISH ICON:

Burberry Trench

Marking 170 years at the forefront of British heritage, Burberry revisits its outerwear icons for a new season, blending their time-honoured craftsmanship with a lighter, more contemporary feel. The Kensington, Waterloo and Fitzrovia trench coats return with their signature precision tailoring, while the Camden car coat delivers a cleaner, more streamlined alternative. This season’s palette comes in pale sugar pink and soft stone beige.

THE FILM:

The Drama

Starring Zendaya and Robert Pattinson, The Drama centres on a happily engaged couple, Emma and Charlie, who are put to the test when an unexpected revelation sends their wedding week far off course. So far, so rom-com. However, given this is an A24 film and neither Rob or Zendaya tend to do straight-up movies, we’re expecting some twists and turns. Fun fact: the A-listers are also starring in The Odyssey and Dune III later this year.

THE CONCEPT STORE:

ROKSANDA

ROKSANDA has opened a concept store for a three-month residency, designed as an intimate space to experience the brand up close. Alongside the SS26 collection, it offers a range of exclusive services – from colour customisation to made-to-order gowns and bridal pieces – plus early access to upcoming drops. The space itself, designed with interior architect Bradley Taylor, showcases the collections in a clean, considered way.

THE BOUTIQUE OPENING:

Repossi

Repossi has opened its first boutique in Harrods, marking a new chapter for the Place Vendôme jewellery house. To celebrate, the brand has unveiled a Harrods-exclusive Berbere Chromatic Ring – a limited-edition design that reimagines its signature Berbere style in yellow gold, finished with green lacquer as a subtle nod to the store’s iconic colour.

THE RESTAURANT:

Holy Carrot Bistro

Holy Carrot Bistro, the vegetable-led restaurant from founder Irina Linovich and chef Daniel Watkins, is now open in Spitalfields. The new site marks the next chapter for the restaurant, with an evolved menu, a new cocktail list and interiors curated and designed in collaboration with designer Faye Toogood, whose practice moves between art, interiors and sculpture. At Spitalfields, this approach plays out in a dining room shaped as much by surface and material as by layout. Textiles and illustrated motifs sit alongside metal, timber and tiled finishes, with hand-drawn elements on the walls and candlelight brightening the space. On the food front, the menu is rooted in fire-led cooking, fermentation and low-waste techniques.

THE EYEWEAR COLLECTION:

Carolina Herrera

Carolina Herrera Eyewear’s SS26 collection brings a fresh mix of sunglasses and optical frames, blending the house’s signature polish with a more modern, wearable feel. Leading the lineup is House of Herrera – a series of oversized, sculptural frames that feel bold but surprisingly lightweight, with a real focus on craftsmanship. Rounded metal studs nod to the brand’s iconic polka dot motif, while contrasting acetate temples and medallion end-tips add a distinctive finishing touch.

THE TRAVEL BOOK:

Lapérouse

Lapérouse, the latest travel book by Assouline, celebrates one of Paris’s most legendary restaurants, founded in 1766 on the banks of the Seine. Long a gathering place for writers, artists and lovers, from Zola and Proust to Picasso, Lapérouse has embodied the elegance, intrigue and creative spirit of the French capital for over three centuries. Written by acclaimed author Frédéric Beigbeder, the book traces the restaurant’s rich history and enduring appeal, from its literary salons and hidden rooms to its vibrant revival today. Blending heritage, gastronomy and Parisian nightlife, it captures a place where the ghosts of great artists meet the icons of the present, and where every evening still feels like a celebration.

THE HOTEL:

The Zetter Bloomsbury

The Zetter Bloomsbury opens today. Occupying six interconnecting Georgian townhouses near Russell Square, the 68-bedroom property brings The Zetter’s distinctive approach to hospitality to one of the capital’s most storied quarters. Award-winning designer James Thurstan Waterworth draws inspiration from Bloomsbury’s intellectual spirit, a neighbourhood long defined by writers, collectors and creatives. The bedrooms range from characterful and wood-panelled cosy rooms to grander suites such as the terrace suite, complete with a four-poster bed, claw-foot bath beneath bay windows and a large terrace overlooking the garden. Each of the 68 rooms has been thoughtfully designed with a collector’s spirit, with marble-finished bathrooms, walk-in showers and amenities from Verden. The hotel sits directly opposite the British Museum, with the independent shops and cafés of Lamb’s Conduit Street just moments away.

V&A East Museum officially opens on 18th April. At the centre of the museum will be two free permanent galleries, where guests will be able to see over 500 objects from the V&A’s collections spanning art, architecture, design, performance and fashion. In the Why We Make galleries, visitors can explore the most important issues in contemporary culture with displays revealing unexpected connections across time and creative discipline. The museum’s first landmark exhibition, The Music Is Black: A British Story, will explore how Black British music has shaped British culture from 1900 to the present day. Expect to see objects like Joan Armatrading’s childhood guitar (going on display for the first time) alongside pieces worn by Little Simz.

THE SCENT:

Banana Rush By Juliette Has A Gun

Banana Rush, the newest launch from Juliette Has a Gun, is a fragrance that gives the humble banana the full Wes Anderson treatment. Leaning into the gourmand trend, Banana Rush opens with ripe banana and maple syrup, before moving into a creamy coconut and frangipani heart and settling into vanilla and sandalwood. It’s impressive, as the end result isn’t overly sweet. We love the playful Anderson-esque campaign shoot too.
