If you’re looking for a cool seaside alternative to Cornwall or Brighton, Port Hotel has just opened in Eastbourne. Set in a converted Victorian building, the boutique hotel is located on Eastbourne’s beachfront parade, with 19 stylish bedrooms, a restaurant and bar and a suntrap terrace. Imraan Ismail is behind the interiors – rooms are simple yet stylish and have been inspired by the South Downs – while Alex Burtenshaw has designed a menu that champions local produce. After relaxing in the hotel, guests can explore South Downs National Park, walk along the pier, or visit some of the contemporary art galleries dotted around town.

Having just reopened last month, the luxury beach club and restaurant is located on Playa d’en Bossa, surrounded by endless stretches of white sand and blue waters. DIVE INTO THIS NEW DOC: Breaking Boundaries: The Science Of Our Planet

David Attenborough’s new documentary has just landed on Netflix. A timely release in line with World Ocean Day on Tuesday, Breaking Boundaries follows the scientific journey of world-renowned scientist Professor Johan Rockström and the most important scientific discovery of our time – that humanity has pushed Earth beyond the boundaries that have kept it stable for 10,000 years. As well as outlining the fragile stability of our planet, it offers up solutions we must put in place to protect Earth’s life support systems. Set to open at the beginning of July, Château De La Messardière is a beautiful five-star hotel located on a hilltop on the outskirts of Saint Tropez. Housed in a palatial 19th-century building with domed cupolas and turrets, the property has undergone an extensive renovation over the last two years.
