Set in a converted Victorian building, the boutique hotel is located on Eastbourne’s beachfront parade, with 19 stylish bedrooms, a restaurant and bar and a suntrap terrace. Imraan Ismail is behind the interiors – rooms are simple yet stylish and have been inspired by the South Downs – while Alex Burtenshaw has designed a menu that champions local produce. After relaxing in the hotel, guests can explore South Downs National Park, walk along the pier, or visit some of the contemporary art galleries dotted around town.

DIVE INTO THIS NEW DOC: Breaking Boundaries: The Science Of Our Planet

David Attenborough’s new documentary has just landed on Netflix. A timely release in line with World Ocean Day on Tuesday, Breaking Boundaries follows the scientific journey of world-renowned scientist Professor Johan Rockström and the most important scientific discovery of our time – that humanity has pushed Earth beyond the boundaries that have kept it stable for 10,000 years.
