SL favourite Langan’s Brasserie now serves breakfast. Meet the girls at the restaurant to choose from an extensive menu of classic options, health shots (like lemon, ginger and cayenne pepper) and smoothies and juices. Everything from eggs florentine to full English breakfasts are made with Clarence Court eggs, while the ‘Classics’ menu includes sweet treats like fluffy pancakes with whipped cream and maple syrup, caramelised banana french toast, and a selection of freshly baked pastries. Add on a mimosa or a bellini for a special treat.

GO TO THE BALLET: Romeo & Juliet At The Royal Opera House

Want to do something romantic for Valentine’s Day? Romeo & Juliet has returned to the Royal Opera House for a new production of Shakespeare’s classic. Set to Prokofiev’s famous score, with beautiful set design by Nicholas Georgiadis, principal dancers Mayara Magri and Alexander Campbell play the star-crossed lovers, torn apart by a divided society and a forbidden love. If you can’t make it to the venue, the performance will be screened at cinemas around the country on Valentine’s Day. Tickets start from £7.

GET YOUR CULTURE FIX: Danielle Dean At Tate Britain

On Saturday 5th February, Tate Britain opens an exhibition of the works of Danielle Dean. Forming part of the gallery’s Art Now series, Dean’s collection consists of a multi-channel video installation that explores the changing nature of human labour and how we are influenced by marketing. There’s also a selection of sculptures and watercolour paintings, inspired by Dean’s travels through South America. Tickets are free.

GO OUT OUT: Spiritland By Night

On the South Bank beneath the Royal Festival Hall, Spiritland has plenty of space for dancing, a cool bar designed to look like a DJ booth, and an impressive sound system. At its new club night, guests can kick off the weekend to a mix of drum ’n’ bass, house, jungle, trance and electronic music. On Friday 4th February, deep house DJs Atjazz and Jimpster will spin a special back-to-back session.

DISCOVER HIDDEN GEMS: Go East Vintage Flea Weekender

Sustainable collective Go East is hosting a vintage flea market on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th February at Patchworks in Leyton. Amid an array of clothing, jewellery, furniture, homeware and art, expect to find dresses, blouses, jeans, knitwear and accessories from designer brands, as well as one-off pieces from lesser-known names. Don’t miss the selection of vintage table accessories – think fluted vases, gold candlestick holders and unique lampshades. From Friday 4th to Sunday 6th February, Top Office Machines in Bethnal Green is holding the Big Plant Sale, with thousands of plants fresh from growers around the UK. CELEBRATE LUNAR NEW YEAR: Bun House Afternoon Tea

For the next month Bun House is offering diners a special afternoon tea to celebrate Lunar New Year and the Year of the Tiger. Diners can tuck into a selection of steamed buns alongside sweet and savoury snacks, and traditional Chinese teas. The menu includes fried milk ribs coated in crispy garlic; crispy tempura oyster mushrooms in a sweet peking sauce; confit duck croquettes with kewpie mustard; steamed tofu with pickled bamboo shoots; and tong yuen, a sticky rice ball served with a ginger and lemon syrup, and topped with roasted peanut dust.

BOOK AHEAD: One.World Supper Club

Interiors company One.World is hosting a supper club at its store in Parsons Green on Thursday 10th and Saturday 12th March – tickets are expected to sell out quickly, so it’s worth snapping one up now. Private chef Rosie Smith (aka Rosie & Ripe) has teamed up with southwest London deli The Butchers Table for a tasting menu that celebrates seasonal produce cooked over fire. The menu is strictly under wraps, but if One.World’s last supper club is anything to go by, you can expect dishes like slow-roasted lamb with flaked almonds, sourdough with grilled courgettes, and beetroot and goats cheese salad. Tickets cost £65pp.

TRY A NEW WORKOUT: Cyko Spin at Raffles

Cyko is the new spin class in Raffles Chelsea to have on your radar. Sessions take place on the nightclub dancefloor – which is transformed into a full spin studio each day – with strobe lighting, laser beams and a world-class sound system to help you stay motivated. Aiming to recreate the atmosphere of a nightclub, 45-minute sessions are led by Cyko’s spin instructors who have already brought the concept to Barcelona, Amsterdam and Dubai. After class, make a beeline to the Wellness Hub for post-workout juices, protein shakes and snacks. Classes cost £19.50pp.
