FOOD & DRINK

All Roads

After three years of sold-out supper clubs, chefs Malika Green and Paschelle Brown have finally opened a permanent home for All Roads in Brixton. Designed to feel like an extension of the pair’s much-loved events, the restaurant is warm, intimate and rooted in bringing people together over good food. The menu draws on their Caribbean heritage, London restaurant experience and travels further afield, resulting in vibrant, flavourful dishes designed for sharing. Expect everything from torched mackerel toast and sweet black tea-marinated wings to slow-cooked oxtail, buttery pork chops and nostalgic puddings, with DJs adding to the atmosphere at weekends.

MA/NA

The group behind Los Mochis and Luna Omakase has turned its attention to Mayfair with MA/NA, a glamorous new Japanese restaurant inspired by the idea that every ingredient carries its own energy and story. Inside, the space blends polished dining with a more playful late-night feel, thanks to resident DJs and a cocktail list inspired by 1970s Tokyo nightlife. On the menu, expect elevated takes on Japanese favourites – from tiger prawn tempura and robata-grilled vegetables to richly marbled Wagyu seared tableside on Himalayan salt stones.

HOLY POP! At Somerset House

HOLY POP! At Somerset House

Somerset House’s latest exhibition takes a fascinating look at modern-day idol worship and the objects, rituals and communities that shape pop culture fandom. HOLY POP! explores everything from celebrity obsession to collective mourning, examining how contemporary society creates its own versions of shrines and symbols. Through artworks, installations and cultural artefacts, the exhibition references figures including David Bowie, Princess Diana and Andy Warhol, alongside less expected icons such as Harry Potter’s Dobby the Elf.

BEAUTY

Samantha Cusick London Liverpool Street

Samantha Cusick has unveiled her most ambitious salon to date with a new Liverpool Street flagship – and it’s less traditional salon, more futuristic members’ club for hair. Marking a decade since launching her first Notting Hill space, the new opening signals a shift towards a more elevated, lifestyle-led direction for the brand, where beauty, tech and design sit firmly side by side. Designed by Cusick herself, the interiors move away from maximalism in favour of a calmer, gallery-inspired aesthetic: think limewash walls, walnut joinery, stainless steel detailing and sculptural marble finishes. The experience is equally considered, with digital self check-in, collaborative consultation screens and interactive mirrors allowing clients to browse inspiration and visualise colour in real time. It’s all been built with the modern client in mind – from communal styling areas to quieter mezzanine.

FAMILY

The Newt X Claridge’s

Two of Britain’s most iconic luxury names have come together for a Chelsea Flower Show-inspired collaboration, as Somerset country estate The Newt takes over Claridge’s for a limited-time residency. Stepping into the hotel, guests are greeted with large-scale installations designed to transport a little bit of Somerset into the heart of Mayfair – think sculptural willow displays, fragrant floral details and even a hallway lined with hundreds of apples. Beyond the visual transformation, ingredients from The Newt’s estate are also appearing across Claridge’s menus for the duration of the partnership, making it worth booking in for lunch or drinks while you’re there.
