FOOD & DRINK

Kumori

A sleek new Soho opening worth having on your radar, Kumori is a 30-seat, counter-only hand roll bar focused on precision and quality. Head Chef John Randy De Guzman (ex-Nobu and Tobi Masa) brings together traditional omakase technique with a more modern, indulgent edge – think toro with torched bone marrow, baked crab rolls and scallop with a smoky finish. Everything is made to order and designed to be eaten immediately, delivering that perfect balance of warm rice, cool fish and crisp nori.

26 Denman Street, Soho, W1D 7HX; opens 16th April

LAVO at The BoTree

For a fresh take on the Sunday roast, LAVO at The BoTree is putting an Italian spin on the British classic. Served every Sunday, the menu features roast beef, chicken and porchetta with all the trimmings – plus panini semidolci in place of Yorkshire puddings. Elsewhere, expect dishes like lobster linguine and roasted cauliflower, alongside standout desserts (don’t miss the 20-layer chocolate cake). Ideal for long, leisurely lunches.

30 Marylebone Lane, Mayfair, W1U 2DR ; Sundays, 12–5pm
