Things kick off on 5th March with a special collaboration with Mr. Men and Little Miss, including a storytelling session led by illustrator Adam Hargreaves. Throughout the year, families can expect character meet-and-greets with Peppa Pig, themed treats inspired by The Gruffalo, and plenty of book clubs and creative workshops along the way.

Forza Wine Soho

Forza Wine has officially landed in central London, taking over the former Daroco site on Manette Street and marking the group’s biggest opening yet. With 100 covers inside and a 70-seat terrace, there’s now even more room for people to enjoy parmesan-laden brioche, pane carasau with gorgonzola, ox cheek Genovese ragù and the cult custardo. Natural wines lead the drinks list, vermouth comes in at a very reasonable fiver, and the vibe is relaxed, buzzy and made for long lunches that roll into late evenings.

CULTURE

Catherine Opie: To Be Seen

The National Portrait Gallery hosts the first major UK museum exhibition dedicated to American artist Catherine Opie this spring. Catherine Opie: To Be Seen spans three decades of work exploring identity, intimacy, politics and power through portraiture. Expect everything from her early breakthrough series Being and Having to her Holbein-inspired portraits of LGBTQ+ friends and richly staged, Baroque-like studies of artists. Opie’s lens has long centred queer communities, chosen families and subcultures – making this both a visual feast and a quietly radical act of documentation.
