FOR COCKTAILS ON THE THAMES:

ArcadeX At Battersea Power Station

ArcadeX has taken over Battersea Power Station’s Coaling Jetty for the summer – and it’s one of the season’s best al fresco destinations. Expect global street food, Casamigos tequila cocktails, seasonal spritzes, and beers on tap, all with riverside views and the Power Station as a striking backdrop. Food comes courtesy of viral smash burger truck MANNA, cult Taiwanese spot BAO, NY-style Gracey’s Pizza and the excellent Mexa – serving suadero tacos, slow-cooked meats and fiery salsas. Don’t miss frozen margaritas from award-winning bartender Rich Woods and gelato by Two Little Giraffes, either. With daybeds, music, and big-screen showings of Wimbledon and the Tour de France, it’s made for all-day lounging.

FOR A FAMILY-FRIENDLY TRAIL:

Tusk’s Turtle Trail

This summer, take the kids on a creative city trail celebrating one of the ocean’s oldest species. The Tusk Turtle Trail sees 16 life-sized sculptures dotted across central London, designed by a starry list of artists and public figures including Ronnie Wood, Deborah Meaden, Steven Bartlett, Rankin and Harland Miller. Curated by Chris Westbrook of Westbrook Gallery, the trail is both a public art installation and a powerful conservation message: six of the planet’s seven marine turtle species are now threatened with extinction. The sculptures will be on display throughout the summer, ahead of a charity auction later this year – and it’s a fun, free way to explore the city while sparking meaningful conversations.
