FOR THOSE IN-THE-KNOW:

BÔNE

Doing something different in the UK restaurant scene isn’t, but a new name in Shoreditch has pulled it off. BÔNE is a moody, minimalist, reservations-only spot that's only open solely on Friday and Saturday nights, serving just 20 diners each evening – and it’s already booked out until late April. It serves creative small plates (think smoked eel toast, yuzu kosho lamb and koji-cured veg), alongside natural wine and slick cocktails. Also on the menu are heartier dishes like grass-fed short rib or Alaskan salmon with bottomless frites (and a choice of parmesan cream or Paris butter), plus there are four indulgent desserts, like pistachio tiramisu or brown butter French toast, to choose from.
