Superhumans centre is a charity that provides prosthetics for Ukrainian soldiers in need. On Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th November, shoppers can attend a Christmas event to raise funds for the charity by shopping a selection of designer and vintage fashion. Expect to find pieces from brands like Saint Laurent, Dior, Chanel and Acne Studios, as well as picks from Ukrainian brands and homeware and lifestyle pieces. All proceeds will be donated to the Superhumans Centre; tickets cost £18.

Christmas Sewing Workshop with Fine Cell Work

On Friday 17th November Fine Cell Work, a charity and social enterprise committed to the rehabilitation of prisoners by providing them with purposeful activity, will host a Christmas workshop at Haymarket Hotel. Guests can experiment with their own designs, learn basic embroidery stitches and create their own Christmas decoration to take home. Tickets cost £175, which includes morning coffee and tea with cake, plus lunch at Brumus Restaurant.

Gelupo Winter Alpine Lodge Pop-up

Soho gelateria Gelupo will transport its guests to the Italian Alps as it transforms into a cosy ski lodge with boozy hot drinks, hot chocolates, and northern Italian doughnuts. Today until Sunday 7th January, guests will find twinkling fairy lights and faux fur in the bar as the team serves scoops of festive gelato like caramel and gingerbread, chocolate orange and panettone with marsala. You can also order hot toasted ‘brioche con gelato’ with scoops sealed in a soft Sicilian brioche bun, as well as fluffy Italian bomboloni filled with apricot jam. Treat yourself to a glass of vin brulé (the Italian version of mulled wine) or enjoy a hot chocolate with a glug of hazelnut Frangelico or amaretto.

Pastaio x I'll Have What She's Having

Carnaby pasta restaurant Pastaio has teamed up with Hannah Crosbie and Sophie Wyburd – co-hosts of the I'll Have What She's Having podcast – to create a collaboration pasta and wine pairing for Christmas. Sophie has created a dish of maniche pasta with sausage, chestnut and sage – with £1 from each dish going to homelessness charity Refuge. To complement the dish, a fruity Fontodi Chianti Classico has been selected by Hannah, which will be available on Pastaio's drinks menu throughout the collab.

Battersea Power Station

Get into the festive spirit at Battersea Power Station which has a range of activities and experience for the whole family to enjoy. The station has been transformed into a magical destination complete with sparkling lights, Christmas trees and supersize decorations. Visitors can also look forward to family-friendly activities – like arts and craft sessions and live performances including carols – and skate on the capital’s only riverside ice rink, Glide, in collaboration with Jo Malone London. Don’t miss the gingerbread land pop-up beside the rink. Elsewhere, visitors can ‘hurry up a chimney’ at Lift 109 with 360° views of London’s Christmas lights from the sky, and shop the Christmas markets in the building’s historic turbine halls.

Sunday feast at Padella

On Sunday 19th November, Tim Siadatan, owner of Padella, will host an inaugural Sunday feast at the Shoreditch outpost with game dishes and a selection of drinks from Liberty Wines. Diners can enjoy a six-course game menu with dishes like venison tartare; agnolotti of mallard with cinnamon and sage butter; pheasant tortellini; fettuccine with partridge and guanciale; gnocchi with grouse, porcini and chianti ragu; and chocolate and salted caramel tart with crème fraiche. Tickets cost £60pp, with wine pairings at an additional price.

Ever After Garden at Grosvenor Square

Today, the Ever After Garden returns to Grosvenor Square, encouraging visitors to reflect and raise funds for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. The remembrance garden is filled with over 25,000 illuminated white roses and will be open every day until Tuesday 19th December. Visitors are invited to dedicate a rose in memory of a loved one and to make a donation to the charity, which supports the work of The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, a world-leading cancer centre. This year, dedications can be made online ahead of the garden's opening and while it is open, or during a visit to the garden.

The X Bar By Flannels

Flannels on Oxford Street has opened a new 14-seat champagne bar on the second floor – a first for the store. The X Bar is a great post-Christmas shopping pit stop, with brands like Dom Pérignon, Ruinart and Veuve Clicquot all on the menu. There’s also a seasonal selection of crisps and caviar on offer – just be aware you’ll need to book a one-hour slot. Plus, on Thursday 16th November, look out for a caviar tasting led by Exmoor Caviar.
