GRAB THE GIRLS:

Archive & Myth

Last week a new speakeasy, Archive & Myth, opened in London’s West End. Accessible through a password-protected door on Cranbourn Street, this secret haven has an innovative cocktail programme crafted by award-winning mixologist Jack Sotti. The menu beldns modern techniques with high-quality ingredients and adventurous options, including a whiskey sour, an Ammazzacaffe – a fresh take on the espresso martini – and a bold Absinthe frappé.

TRY A NEW SPOT:

Henri

Renowned Chef – and SL favourite – Jackson Boxer and the hospitality pioneers behind the Experimental Group have opened Henri, a Parisian-inspired restaurant. This collaboration follows their success at Cowley Manor Experimental in the Cotswolds and puts Boxer’s experience from leading London restaurants like Brunswick House and Orasay into practice. Designer Dorothée Meilichzon has reimagined the space with a blend of French brasserie and British pub elements, featuring botanical shapes and Art Nouveau accents. The menu, drawing on Boxer’s knowledge of British suppliers, offers a range of snacks, entrées, and dishes from the charcoal grill. Highlights include fried pieds de cochon, seaweed canelé, grilled snails, globe artichoke, roast duck and brixham cod. Meanwhile, the drinks menu offers cocktails like the Marie-Antoine and Gaston, and there’s also curated wine list.
