TAKE IN A SHOW:

New York City Ballet

The New York City Ballet rarely leaves the Big Apple, so this a rare opportunity to see them perform at the prestigious Sadler’s Wells in Islington. The choreography will showcase the breadth of the company’s dance repertoire, from neoclassical and contemporary to more traditional forms of movement. Coupled with the rousing score and expert costume design, it’s one of the hottest dance tickets of the year.

TRY A NEW SPOT:

The Orange At Cubitt House

Thanks to the team at Cubitt House, who have meticulously restored The Coach Makers Arms, The Builder’s Arms and The Grazing Goat, the doors to one of London’s most historic pubs are now open again. The Orange pays homage to the pub’s roots, but go a floor up and there are expertly restored dining rooms, as well as a terrace. Under the direction of chef Ben Tish, there’s a new seasonal menu that holds onto that old pub charm: dishes include roast squid with za’tar and aioli, or ribeye steak with roasted onions and comté.
