FRIDAY

The Outrun

Based on the memoir of Scottish journalist and author Amy Liptrot, The Outrun tells the story of a young woman returning to her childhood home to rehabilitate after an addiction-fuelled, unhappy ten years living in London. The rugged and beautiful landscape described in the book lends itself to some striking cinematography and, going by the film’s trailer, viewers can expect exactly that – as well as a moving performance from Oscar nominee Saoirse Ronan. The film also stars Paapa Essiedu, Stephen Dillane and Lauren Lyle.
